Q:good loom for rugs and placemats?: I didn't go to your links, but Schacht looms are some of the best made. I would really like to have a 2- harness Schacht to make rugs with! I have a 4-harness LeClerc and it is heavy enough to do what I want all the way from rugs to fine fabrics. I suggest you get some of those link together mats to put under your loom to prevent walking and to dampen the banging we get when making rugs!! Dust vacs work well to get up the lint we make. Step2 Combine 1 teaspoon carpet shampoo (or dish soap, like Dawn) and 1 cup hydrogen peroxide in a small bowl. Soak a clean sponge in the mixture, squeeze it halfway dry, then gently blot the stain. Continue until the stain lifts. Step3 Sponge the stained area with warm water. Step4 Blot dry with a clean cloth or paper towels. ************************* Tips : Act immediately. The longer a stain sits, the harder it is to remove. Commerical products like Oxy Clean and Wine Away do an excellent job of removing red wine stains, but try this homemade version if you don't have either of those on hand.

You can try Microban products, which kills mildew and definately helps eliminate smells, but its rather expensixe, and if you had much water at all, may not be worth the cost. Get a little extra insurance the next time, they will cover basement leaks if you get a rather inexpensive rider for it (Ive got it for mine).

Thanks: I would suggest something very soft, easy to clean and large. I wouldn't go with braided. Try K-mart, they have some nice rugs at decent prices and if the baby spills or spits up then you don't have to worry about how much money you spent on it. Make sure the backing is one that doesn't slip. If it does, make sure you buy the stuff the put on the back to keep it from sliding. I saw that at walmart the other day.

Q:THE COLOR IS CYAN, AND THE CARPET IS BEIGE: Do not use a steam cleaner. it could make matters worse at this point. Take a piece of good ole duck tape, and double it over so it's sticky on both sides. Dab that on the spot then immediately switch spots on the tape and dab again. The sticky tape should pull the remainder out for you without spreading the ink to the rest of the carpet. Do not use a lint roller, use duck tape. If there is still a bit left, squirt the spot with some foaming shaving cream let it set for 15 minutes, blot and rinse with vinegar and water. I think the duck tape will finish the job. If there is still some left after the shaving cream take a clean damp cloth and punch the knuckle of your index finger into the cloth. Put it down on top of the stain and twist your hand clockwise. This removes the stain from between the threads without causing the fibers to get fuzzy.
