Q: The question isJerry found a 9-by-12 carpet for $27 and an 8-by-14 carpet for $28. He wanted to know the price of each per square foot of carpet. If he bought the better bargain, then which carpet did he buy?Can someone show me how to do this with step by step instruction...: 9 * 12 = 108 ft^2 8 * 14 = 112 ft^2 27x = 108 x = $4 a square ft 28x = 112 x = $4 a square ft they both cost the same

Q: ok my parents are saying that they want to have wood floor in both of the living room also in the hall ways and they also want rugs in the bedroomwhat do u think: Wood floors are real nice, unless you live where it's cold on your floors in the winter, or if you have a dog with noisy claws, or if you're the kind of person who dusts everyday. Rugs are nice because you can change them out easier than carpeting.

Q: Ok ... So I have two messy boys at home, a 2 year old and a 23 year old. They are, like I said, messy. I do roll it up every once in awhile to vacuum under it. Find a pattern rug which won't show stains. Use the colors in the sofa, carpet, and accent color. That'll be a safe bet. If you have a coffee table in front of the sofa the area rug won't show all that much. And if you didn't like it, roll it up before company arrives. At least the carpet will be clean. When my kids were small, I told them I was going to pull up the carpet and live with concrete floors. Just hose the floor when needed. Of course, they didn't care.

Q: I purchased an old wool, floral patterned, pile area rug (approx. 8' x 10') at an auction. It needs cleaned and there is not a professional cleaner in my area. Can I clean it with a traditional steam cleaner using cold water? If so, what about the beater bar? Do I need to diconnect that so I don't fuzz the wool? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!: I am a pro carpet cleaner and have been in the business for 10 years, do not take your wool rug to the laundry mat and do not use your steam cleaner on it. Wool is a very delicate fiber and can therefore be easily damaged. I would definitly see if there is any professional carpet cleaners that will come and pick it up from your house. If your area rug is not to expencive however you may be able to get away with just using the steam cleaner with no beater bar and just water, but if it is expencive the the only way to go it to have a pro do it.

Q: Hi everyone, I have a encolsed porch that i am redoing and the exsiting floor is wood and is painted so i just repainted it well i was thinking about painting a rug onto the floor just to add a little something different and special to the room.
