Q: My pony is not clipped and I was wandering what weight rug I should put him in in winter if at all. Should I put him in a stable rug when he is in his stable, and should I put a rug on him when he is out?Should I ride him in an exercise sheet as well?: 14.2 IS a pony as you well know. he doesn't need any rugs at all if he isn't clipped. Wild horses don't wear rugs and farmers don't put rugs on their cows, sheep and pigs. People put rugs on horses to make people feel better but horses if they are not clipped and in rugs get too HOT in the least bit of sun. Nature has made them able to withstand cold and rain in a way humans cannot. My ponies live out all year and are not clipped and i ride regularly. But be warned lots of ignorant people will tell you that you are cruel if you don't put a rug on He doesn't need an exercise sheet, those are for clipped horses so they don't get a chill

Q: I'm looking for a dark green Oriental rug. The green should be a forest or emerald green to replace the previous rugs. Every time I look for these greens, I find various shades of sage, teal, seafoam, and olive. This is not what I'm looking for. It needs to be large (at least 8x10 feet), and be classy/fancy and durable enough to cover the wooden floor in the dining room. A floral or Asian print would be preferred. Q: I have two toddlers, and needless to say my carpets get a little dirty very easily. Can anyone recommend a good carpet cleaning machine that actually gets the job done. I had one about 2 years ago ( can't remember the brand ), and it sucked. It didn't work, and it left my carpets soaking wet. Pro's use citric acid in the rinse water to aid in soap removal, and to lower the PH of the carpet to a neutral position, similar to new. If the carpet is Nylon, it can also be Scotch Guard protected by this same pro.

Q: I need an area rug for my living room and here is a picture of my inspiration room compliments of Pottery Barn. The carpet in my living room is like a beigeish oatmeal color. I also have small kids so something that could hide stains easily would be nice. My walls are white and my woods are Cherry...suggestions? Any specific hints in picking out a rug?: Braided rag rugs are especially nice for concealing stains and blending with most any decor. They're also especially good for anyone with allergies because they do not have backing made with formaldehyde and thus don't give off the awful smells.

Q: I have a shag carpet and can't manage to vacuum it clean even with a flat vacuum brush. Is there any product that can use to clean it thoroughly?: Is shag carpet coming back? They used to have shag carpet rakes that pulled the pile up before vacuuming, and then again after vacuuming. Don't know if they still do or not but check with Lowe's, Home Depot and ask.

Q: I am going to rent a rug doctor to clean the carpet in my apartment. The only stains are from my puppy, and I am not sure what kind of cleaner to use with it. should I use the regular cleaner or am I going to need a heavy duty/pet specific cleaner? I have shampooed before, but not since I got my puppy.: The rug doctor will not remove the stains, but if you use an enzyme cleaner on the spots first, any rug machine will, with any shampoo. Cross your fingers there's no smell. That's another problem.

Q: A lineoleum that we had was ruined by rubber backed rugs, it turned yellow under the rugs and where the swiffer was used.: rubber backed rugs will ruin vinyl, they turn yellow or grayish colored and you can not get it out.
