BV Sheathed Wire
Introduction
Wires can generally be divided into the following kinds:
Plastic copper wire: generally with the threading pipe used together, and more for the construction of the construction of concealed works. To distinguish between different lines of zero, fire, ground, design a different surface color, generally more representative of the red line "Fire Wire”, two-color line represents" ground”, blue line represents the "zero line”, but due to different occasions and different construction Of the conditions required, the color distinction is not the same.
Sheath line: A kind of double-insulated wire that can be used for exposed wire construction outside of a wall. Due to its double-layer sheath, its insulation performance and breakage resistance are greatly improved, but the cooling performance relative to the plastic copper wire has been reduced,so do not advocate multiple sheathed wire bundled with the use; that would greatly reduce its cooling capacity, too long will cause damage to the aging wire.
Rubber line: rubber line also known as waterline, as the name suggests can be soaked in water using the wire, and its outer layer is an industrial insulating rubber, can play a good insulation and waterproofing. Rubber line can be said for outdoor use, construction, and its good anti-damage performance and waterproof performance by many construction, industry, aerospace, marine and other departments widely used.
Home wiring can be divided into three types:
1.Hard wire (BV): for power supply, lighting, sockets, air conditioning
2.Soft wire (BVR): for power supply, lighting, sockets, air conditioning
3.Hard and soft wire (weak wire): respectively composed of a single wire and a number of copper core wire
BV line purchase precautions
1. Whether accord with national electrotechnical commission recognized product quality.(or "CCC certification)
2. Whether conform to the requirements of the electricity quota, product inspection certificate, product quality identification.
3. The purity of copper, the higher the purity the better the quality.
4 package copper core of PVC material quality, the better the quality, the lower the risk of leakage.
5. Each roll of wire length standard, whether the weight is enough, using temperature was minus 30 to 70 degrees Celsius.

- Q: Is it a 3.5mm audio cable with an ordinary wire or a telephone line? As long as there is a voice to hear on the line, if you can, then how to connect 3.5mm connector? Answer good words bonus points added: ordinary wire and telephone line which anti-interference better? More
- Hot-melt connection, the use of adjustable temperature of the hand-held hot-melt machine welding, like welding PPR pipe, equipment, general building materials market has tens of dollars a
- Q: How is the color of the three wires?
- So it is red is the line of fire is positive. Green is a zero line, that is, negative. The color is the ground wire.
- Q: I had to extend some speaker wires, so i used a second speaker cord and wrapped it to the one out the speaker, but the exposed section doesnt look to safe, and it runs behind my bed so i`m a little unsure about it being uncovered. Can i use duct tape just to cover the open wires? or is electrical tape NEEDED? It is plugged into the wall, not battery powered.
- Speaker Wire Tape
- Q: How about the decoration wiring charges, about how much?
- I do not know your computer has no 1394 interface, some words can be used to video into the computer, and then see you upload to that site, you can go to the site you want to upload to download the client
- Q: I want to install two separate outdoor lights. How do I do that from one wire? How can I make one wire into two wires and what would I need? Thanks.
- this can be done with a external water proof junction box, be sure you know what you are doing, you could put your self and the building at risk.
- Q: Hi, I am wiring my new addition. My question has to do with the wiring. I have recepticals in opposite corners of the room. Should I drill holes into each stud around the room to run the wire? Or am I better off drilling a hole into the top plate, and running the wire across the attic, drilling a hole into the opposite top plate, and down to the second receptical??Thanks for your timepb4sc
- omg.first off, only 2 outlets in yur room doesnt appear to meet code anyways why not simply add an outlet on each wall? Personally best way is running thru the studsby the way the NFPA code for outlets states you must not be anywhere along the wall space longer than 6feet from any outlet.or on smaller wall spaces 24inchesso an average bedroom of 12 x 11 would need at min 4 outlets. where a 12 x 13 would need more give or take depending on doors.
- Q: I heard someone at an energy conference refer to a study that showed that going to a one size thicker wire in a home -- I am assuming on the American wire gauge, AWG, system -- will lead to a significant drop in home electrical energy usage. I write significant because the percentage was so big I can't remember it exactly.
- Depends on how many amps you are using in the first place, I assume. If you underestimated the amount of current usage in a particular circuit in the first place, and you undersized the wire as a result, then I suppose that the smaller wire will have more apparent resistance due to it being unable to handle the current load without over hearting. They seem to be suggesting that the standard gage wire used in American homes is undersized because our standards are off and the electrical code is wrong.
- Q: I have two switches (one controls a fan and one controls a light) in a box with only one feed wire. The normal pigtail split is used for the blacks to the switches and the whites to the light and fan, ground to grounds. I have a timer with a black, red, white and ground that I will use to control the fan. Ground goes to ground, red goes to the fan, black gets connected to the existing blacks, for the white I pigtailed two short white wires with the white feed wire and connected one to the light switch white, and the other to the whites for the the fan and timer white (it works). Now the question Could I have connected the timer white with the whites for feed, the light and the fan or would that have caused a problem, (I thought it would so that is why I split the feed white off with the pigtail)
- It's only a question of what fits in the wire nut. When you buy wire nuts they come with a list of all of the different combinations of wires that will fit in them. Your way is fine - a bit of extra work is all.
- Q: Basically, the long and the short of the story is, I had a gas leak somewhere under my house, so it was cheaper to switch my hot water heater and my stove over from gas to electric, rather than rip up my floors.I have a contractor friend doing the work, due to the fact I can't run the wiring through the attic, what's basically going to be done is run it outside, drill a hole in the wall, and plug it in there. We are using a 30amp 220 v breaker, what gauge wire should we use? The lady at Lowe's say we MUST use 6/2 wire, we MUST and she refused to sell me anything else. I called a cousin of mine who works construction, and he said an 8/2 would work. It has also been suggested that we use 10/2 My contractor friend says he would be comfy using 10/2, but if 8/2 is what I want he will go with it. The Lowe's lady says 10/2 will meltSo do I use an 8/2?Why the patchjob? because the house is going to be torn down in 3 months and a new one builtI dont want my house to burn any ideas?
- Here's the short of it if you put in 30 amp and the range is 50 amp (most are that are sold in the USA) and you use a dryer cord instead of a range cord then you have an electrical problem who ya gonna call? If your gonna tear it down in 3 months why not just use a microwave and forget the range. I'm not clear on tearing it down and why you want to set up a range? If your gonna use electric and you might be in the house more than 3 months why take a risk if the appliance manufacturer, local code, national electrical code, and Lowe's (and I don't usually put a lot of stock in what Lowe's says) says is not a good idea, because its suppose to be for 50amps AND #6 2 W/GROUND WIRE DOESN'T SOUND LIKE YOU intend to be out of the home for sure in 3 months (and the contractor might have to hold up for a few weeks anyway and unless it is a mobile home or modular home it wont be built in a day) so to be safe I cant recommend you take a shortcut I know might be a bad choice. Does The microwave and maybe a small LP camp stove for 3 months sound cheaper and safer to you?
- Q: I am adding three to four new recepticles in my basement. This will be a new series comming from the box. I will be using a 20amp breaker and 12 gauge wire. I Know how to wire one recepticle, but not sure if i should pigtail the white and black wires from the first recepticle and then continue to every other recepticle in the same mannner. there will be no swithces etc. and of course i want it to be in parallel.
- Since this is a single circuit with multiple outlets, it is basically your choice. You can use either the device or a better way is to use pigtails so you do not rely on device connection for the down line devices. Best practice is the pigtails, and your wire count should be 7. 2 in, 2 out, 2 device + gnd.
