- Q: Wire in the blue line, green yellow line, gray line on behalf of what does this mean?
- PVC wire tube 4 points and 6 points is the type of wire tube different name, 4 pipe is the diameter of 16 lines, 6 tube is the diameter of 20 lines, two models in the laying of the line when used, Through the line of the wire less with . through the wire more than the use of . the specific 16 and 20 tube to wear a few lines, there are standard, the general tube of the total cross-sectional area of the wire should not exceed the tube Diameter cross-sectional area of 40%, but in the actual construction is not based on this standard, as long as the wire into the line tube should not be tight, to leave some space, because the wire to leave a little space to ensure the use of the wire.
- Q: Hydropower transformation with a few square of the wire is good? Recommend a good brand?
- Do parts, like car accessories ah, but the requirements of physical mathematics is better. Do not worry about employment
- Q: I added a doorway in a wall that had wiring for my baseboard heaters. There are three heaters on the circuit. I used 12/2 wire to splice. Now the heater next to the splice works fine but the heater in the next room on the same circuit barely warms up and only when the heater next to the splice is not on. The original wire looks larger than the 12/2 I used to splice. It is the same romex shape but stiffer. Could this be 10/2 wire? The breaker is 20 amp. Could this be why the heater at the end of the circuit barely warms and only when the other heater is not on? Solution??
- most likely its voltage drop caused by using wire that is too small. it is likely that due to the load on the circuit, there is a significant amount of voltage drop due to the resistance of the #12 wire. use #10 and you'll see the voltage increase of course, this is assuming that the voltage is too low. if they worked fine before the splice, thats all that I can imagine has gone wrong, unless it is just coincidence
- Q: Can you put electrical tape over wires that lost parts of the rubber covering them, that connect to the distributor??? or will the tape melt or something?
- no/moisture will cause shorting
- Q: I ran 12/3 plus ground wire to a garage I built. I am assuming I can get two 20 amp circuits out of it. The black and the red wires will be wired to separate 20 amp breakers and the white will be wired to the neutral bar, the ground to the ground bar. So in effect the two circuits will be sharing a common neutral. Is this correct? Just want to make sure before I do it.
- I forget approximately what the colorings are meant to be without checking, yet a meter with insulated probes could be a terrific theory extremely than shifting wires at random. it extremely is conceivable your breaker has tripped if there is not any capacity on the field. even once you be attentive to what the colorings are meant to be, it extremely is a terrific theory to envision with a meter in case the unique builder did something weird and wonderful, and you have lost music of the way it replaced into initially under pressure.
- Q: I Just bought a house and in the bathroom are exposed electrical wires that should be hooked into an outlet. I just want to safely cover the wires and out them in the wall. How do i do this? I was thinking wire nuts, but are those not for connecting two wires together?
- Where is the other end of that exposed wire connected to? Can you just cut it off clean with side cutters (wire cutters)? The wiring in the heater has a high temperature insulation rating but not general purpose duct tape. It will be a fire hazard. If you're going to get a new heater then just remove the bad wire for now.
- Q: Hi,I have 5 earth wires in a blue plastic electrical box. My understanding is that to be to code I have to twist the 5 wires together, put a wirenut on and then do individual pigtails to each of the three switches. I have the biggest wirenut I can find, a wiregard 18-8 AWG 19-006 #6 red .I can't get all the wires in there what is the other option? I can't be the only one needing to deal with this problem? This will be inspected.
- Use a larger wirenut. WT54 blue will do it.
- Q: i want to wire a single phase 230v 22amp air compressor will # 10 wire work or should i use #8 it is about 120 feet from main panel and what amp breaker should i use?
- With the distance you are from the power panel, it would not hurt the system to use the larger #8 wire and a #10 ground and the 30 amp breaker. The inrush current will be enough to lug the motor down when starting with a 10 wire. This will damage the motor over the long term.
- Q: Do you want to use fireproof mud for fire in the electrical cabinet? Is there any national standard?
- It is simpler, that is, a shelf-like shelf with a lot of terminals These terminals can be easily plugged into various parts The terminals and parts of the terminal meet some common protocols and can be compatible with each other Hub function similar to the distribution box, but it is the allocation of information, not electricity, more is to do the data channel terminal interface I do not know if it is clear View original post & gt; & gt;
- Q: I need to run the following:2 x 50 watt filter2 x 500 watt heaterAnd the place that I need to run it is about 300 feet away. What gauge electrical cord do I need???Thanks in advance!
- According to your figures, you are gonna have about 1100 watts load, that would normally need a 14 gauge supply line with a 15 amp circuit breaker. However the 300 feet run will change that, there is gonna be quite a large voltage drop for that distance. I would run a 10/3 and use a 20 amp circuit breaker. That is assuming that you will not have anything else on the circuit. If you do then I would go with a 30 amp breaker. Also if this is gonna be running out side you will need to get wire that is rated for that. Personally I would use bury able wire and enclose it in 2 inch PVC, buried at least 24 inches.
