Q: I need carpet and pad installed in my home. I will remove old carpet. What is the estimated installation cost. Appx 1100 sf. thanks: Carpet prices vary widely as does quality. But you can get a mid grade carpet and pad to cover any warranties for around 3$ a s/f installed. Of course you can get a better carpet ( and cheaper ) but you generally get what you pay for.. Don t down grade pad since this is the back bone of any carpet..If any thing this is one place to up grade to what you can afford. GL

Which in the long run could be a lot cheaper then carpet. (depends on the store etc). I would seriously look into it, I recently changed to it and its a lot less work, easy to clean and keep clean, doesn't show dirt plus it doesn't hold all the dust and stuff in it that causes allergies and other health problems. Its a total good investment and also if you ever decide to sell your home it boosts the value of your home and people love the look of it.

Some apts have a cheaper grade carpet in them and some times you just can t make a repair not show . Even a good seam job it may show because getting the exact same carpet you ll have a different dye lot and that sticks out worse than a bad seam. Even if you have a left over scrap pc the installed carpet can be dirty, ( even a cleaning won t get it back to the exact same) sun faded or even worn. This will all depend on the LL and what he/ she will accept.But be prepared to have to replace the carpet.If you have renters insurance , check into that. GL

Won't clean it, but will hide the smell. Real fix: Clean with rag water then wash the whole rug in a (large) cold cycle with Woolite--NO dryer tho... hang it on a line somewhere. (Usually they're ok to wash; check for a tag on the rug that actually says it's ok first.) Also, don't overload your washer or you may break the washer. I sell high quality rugs and hence the prices are more expensive reflecting the quality. However, many customers can find designs similar to mine on the internet at 1/3 to 1/4 of the price. Regarding the issue about cheaper rugs online: If they really are worse in quality, maybe you should consider putting it on display and comparing it to one of your rugs. It doesn't cost a penny more, and you have a better opportunity to give valuable details on your products.
