Q: What is the average price of wall to wall carpeting for a 2,000 quare foot house?
Wall To Wall Carpet Prices
Q: Hey i need to have a room recarpeted nothing expensive fairly cheap carpet im wondering whats the cost per squar yard of carpet or better yet how much would it cost to have a room 12 feet by 12 feet carpeted.
There okorder ); their products have an attached cushion (save money on pad), are definately do-it-yourself (save money on labor) and come together seamlessly. No one will ever know the difference.
Q: Hello, Thanks for taking the time to read this.Ok, I have been living on aparments since long time ago, most of them are all carpet (no choice), so now I'm moving to a beautiful townhome with 2 levels, first level where the living/dinning/kitchen are is all hardwood floors, I was just looking for slidders or socks for the furniture so they don't scratch the wood, my fiance said that the dinning room and the couches will look funny without a big area rug underneath. Do you think that Area rugs are mandatory on hardwood floors? Please share your opinions. Thanks again.
I usually use a middleweight rug if it is really stormy, heavy rain/hail and a cold wind blowing. I would use a heavyweight in snow temperature. It depends on the horse though. I have a Cob and she doesn't sweat in a heavyweight rug at 3-4 degrees celsius. Some horses feel the heat some don't. My sister also has a very hairy Cob and she wears a lightweight rug with no fill in freezing conditions. If you have a horse i would recommend putting on the weight rug you think your horse should wear, check later, if the horse is sweating that means it's too warm, if he/she is cold at the base of the ear that means he/she is too cold and you need something warmer. Good luck.
Q: I recently moved and purchased the sofas in the picture and I want to find the same rug or a similar rug to the one in the picture. Thank you so much in advance.
Happy hunting and I hope that you find what you are looking for to make your room perfect!
Q: I need an area rug for my dorm next year. Not too expensive and cool looking. Any suggestions?
Best to shop at a retailer rather then buying one site unseen.. Visit a merchant that only sells area rugs who will explain the pros and cons . You might be able to custom make and choose your own color and design to suit your project ,,after all youre not just making a home accessory purchase...youre making a statement .
Q: If a business was able to provide cheaper carpet cleaning by attending college students, would you hire them?
Yes, if they had the right gear to do it right
Q: I would like to have it completely carpeted from wall to wall. How much will it cost me to buy the carpeting and have it installed professionally?
If your planning on doing the whole house at once, your best bet in to go to one of the large chain stores. They will come out and professional measure it for free. I can tell you It's not going to be cheap. you are looking at around 200 yards. A medium grade carpet where I'm from goes for about $10-15 a yard. That does not include pad. Don't go with a real cheap carpet it just won't last. A basic way to tell the quality is to look at the height of the nap and then spread it apart with your fingers. If there is a lot of space in between the carpet fibers its a lower quality.
Q: My cat scratches the rugs in my house to the extent that rug nap is scattered all over every morning. We have both vertical and horizontal scratching posts in which he displays no interest. I tried a product called quot;No Scratchquot; which doesn't work either. What else can I do?
I understand completely! My cat seems to hate using scratching posts and much prefers to scratch the carpets. Although telling your cat off may help gradually. They do not learn like dogs and wont understand as well. I would recommend using a water spray or a citrus smelling product! As you probably know cats HATE being sprayed or splashed with water. So if you see your cat scratching the rug, just gently spray him. Keep the water nearby and after a few times he will learn!! Scratching=water! Or you could use a citrus (orange or lemon) smelling product. Citrus is very strong for cats and might not be obvious to humans so you wouldn't need to worry any smell. Try rubbing an orange flavored car freshener over the rug and that will prevent him scratching the rug, again they hate orange scented things. I hope these help and your cat stops scratching the rugs! :)
Q: I have tried squirting him with water when he does it, but I cant be on guard constantly, and he doesnt seem to connect the squirting with the scratching. He has plenty of other places to scratch but he doesnt seem interested in them. Is there any good solution to this problem? Ive been reduced to covering this rug with old blankets.
Crystal is WRONG. DO NOT DECLAW YOUR CAT! Anyway, I had this problem and it is since 100% fixed. What I did: Go to a pet supply store or some large grocery store chains have a big pet section and get 2-3 of those CARDBOARD SCRATCH POSTS/BOXES. And get a bag of loose cat nip. Bring home your boxes and put one in your room, one in the living room, one in a 3rd room, and sprinkle them with a little cat nip. Show your cat how to scratch it by putting her paws on the box and doing a scraping motion with her paws. And she will fall in love with the scratch boxes and you will have good carpet. Worked for me!!! My cats never scratch the carpet now.
Q: I am having such a hard time finding a rug for my small studio apartment! I have white walls, an off-white/very light creme colored modern leather couch, a glass coffee table (smart coffee table-cb2) and a dark wood tv console. I just purchased a small dining table which is basically next to my tv console and it is also dark wood. I wanted to keep the entire room light but after an impulsive buy, I realize that the dining table definitely darked the room by a lot. Would using a white area rug clash with the off-white couch? I was also thinking of a light taupe colored rug that I think might match better but I want a color as light as possible. Would white be bad, aside from difficulties in maintenance?Last question, in a small room, would a dark wood tv console, dark wood dining table and a dark wood entryway console table be too much dark wood? Thanks a lot!
You need some rugs in colors that tie the areas together but bring interest into the room. Plain whites or creams will only bland out the room areas. Choose a colorful pattern under the dining area and another in similar but different patterns for the living area. Wood colors are considered neutrals so they are not an issue. Your choices of too many whites and lights are. Colorful patterned rugs will add focus and interest to your areas and make your furniture choices stand out.. Think color, not bland.
