Q: We Spilled Some Primer On The Rug And We Don't Know How To Get It Off And We Don't Even Know If It Does? If Anyone Knows How To Remove It Tell Me! Your Help Will Be Awesome!
Hi, Nail polish remover, Paint Thinner, Alcohol, even White Petrol are some of the substances you may use to remove the stain. Advise : Do not scrub the spill , but remove it by dabbing the spill in a circular motion using a clean white cloth. Caution : The colors of the rug may bleed if the wool is cheaply dyed. Try it on a small portion before trying on the spill Disclaimer : You should probably hire a professional to get your rug cleaned, but if you want to DIY then do so at your OWN risk only. I am not responsible for any losses
Q: how to install carpet
Roger, there too many things involved in installing carpet right there is not time to tell you all you need to know. If you don't do it properly. it has to be constantly adjusted and redone. For this job you need expert help.
Q: This is for a translation of a list of stationary
I'm afraid there is no such thing.
Q: Was looking to buy a rug online from argos but didnt know whether it would be soft or not, prefer a soft rug here is the advert
It's not as soft as wool, but it's nothing as bad as walking on sisal. One thing I don't like about polypropylene is that it becomes matted easily, and it doesn't pop back up when it's vacuumed, like nylon pile rugs do.. Rather, the threads seem to stick together, and if you have to scrub out pet vomit or spilled mashed potatoes, it seems to matt even more. It's a nice-looking rug, and most likely a great price, but I'd keep looking.
Q: I recently moved house and my real fix fur rug isn't large enough to cover the floor in my room, so my question if, if I go and kill some foxes tonight, how do I skin them and how do I attach the skins to the rug without making it obvious where i have sewn them on?Also, what shall I do with the remains, is fox edible?
Yes fox is edible... but save the brain. Tanning a hide is a skill that requires practice. I can tell you how but I suggest practicing on something you don't plan to have every guest at your house have a look at. Also some sewing skill would be needed to mend the two rugs together, and foxes aren't large animals so more than one will almost definitely be needed. To tan a hide: Skin the animal at the leg and stretch the skin out very taunt. You will need a tool for scraping ( something sharp but rounded enough not to tear the hide). While the hide is stretched, scrap of the epidermis of the skin with your tool (on the side without fur obviously). Its important to keep the hide wet during this process. Keep a bucket of water nearby to wet it down with. After the hide dries from anywhere from a day or a week (still stretched) untie it and cut it to the size you need it. Now rinse it in a mixture of a half - a whole gallon of water and the foxes own brains (yes, the brains). Rinse, wring it out, rinse again. Over and over and over until your tired. Next stretch the skin out some. Give it a tug with a partner to loosen it up. Then you have to smoke the skin with a dark smoke (most likely from old rotten wood). This will cause the white skin to tan (hence, tanning the hide). Tan the fir side as well but no where near as much as the inside of the skin. Once its a golden brown you can sew it onto your first rug. Whew lol. This is just the general jist of tanning a hide. There are many other methods that I don't know about. I learned how from Naked into the wilderness: Primitive Wilderness Living Survival Skills
Q: Hi! Were purchasing new carpet for our mobile home. They sell a pad to for an extra cost. Never bought carpet before. Is the pad something we really need? Thank you
If you're going to scrimp on costs then the pad is the last thing you want to scrimp on! Buy the best padding you can afford because it's the padding that will make your carpet last.
Q: How to totally remove dog hair on the carpet?
Adhensive tape, adhensive cylinder and cleaners all can remove dog hair.
Q: Someone that moved in with me recently broke the wireless internet adapter to my computer and since I haven't figured out how to fix it I think it may be easier for me to just run a wire from the router to my computer. The problem is that the router is on the xbox in my room and the computer is in my living room 30 feet away. I am getting a 50ft Ethernet cable but I don't want to run it straight across my floor and plan to run it through my basement. I have hardwood floors in my room and there is already a hole to my basement there but my computer is over stretched carpet. I am wondering if I can put a small hole less than 1 inch in the carpet without damaging it or creating a spot that will wear more quickly.
Drive a nail through the carpet where you wnt to bring the wire back up. Locate the nail in the basement, remove the nail. Slowly drill up from the basement, trying not to get into the carpet(it will twist around the drill and damage it more than necessary.) Be sure the drilled hole is big enough for the end of the wire, slice the carpet with a razor-blade in an X and feed it through.
Q: ok so the other day i came home and these 2 guys were in my apartment. they claimed that i owed their boss some money, and i was very shaken up but after it was obvious I wasn't the guy they were looking for, they left- but one of them peed on my rug which was a really good rug. What should I do?
This is a seen from a movie. The guy is a stoner and goes to this rich guys house asking to pay for the rug. I forget the name of the movie but this definitely isn't true. They call the guy the dude and tara reid is in the movie who gets kidnapped... really it's her other boyfriend and they demand 1 million dollars. I think it may be called the dude lol
Q: we bought several new throw-rugs to protect carpets at door-ways. They were folded in half on a pile in the store. It has been impossible to remove that crease, which as the traffic goes on it bunches up in the middle even worse. Any ideas on how to get out these creases where the fold was? Have washed, weighted down, turned over, hung up.....can't seem to prevail! Need advise on how to get rid of these creases. Will never buy a folded rug again.
This is really not an answer or solution ; my notion is that you will have to live with it. Applying steam on the back side to the backing and then weight it down would an other possible solution; I wouldn't put $ on it though. Could you use the rug somewhere that the crease would be under a table or chair?
