Q:I am re carpeting my attic, is installing a new carpet pad and carpet hard? what about installing carpet on stairs?
Carpet installation does require some skills and is probably best left to a professional installer. To even attempt to tackle the job yourself you would need to buy several hand tools and rent a power stretcher, a knee kicker, and a seaming iron. Just call around and get a few estimates, carpet installation prices are really pretty reasonable.
Q:Rather than step into his litter box, that stays clean because I know how picky cats are, he'll crap on my bathroom rugs with his litter box not a foot away from him. Is it a territorial thing? Would he stop if I bought new rugs? I'd have already thrown his butt outside, but he's declawed. I hate having to keep my bathroom rugs folded over all the time because of the little stinker.
Remove the rugs for now, possibly you can put them back when he's using the box again but chances are he won't like using the tile floor. Then after a while you can probably replace them -either clean them *real* well or buy new ones, for if he can still smell the stink he'll be more likely go back to the rug! Is the declawing recent? Even if it is not, check his paws. Quite a few declawed cats stop using the box because it hurts them. Even if it has healed at first, sometimes even years later they'll get a regrowth or such that can be bothering him if he steps in the litterbox. Other stresses may cause a cat to act up too; did you bring in a new cat? Has your own schedule changed a lot?
Q:I just purchased an indoor-outdoor rug for my kitchen. I thought maybe it would wear better and not show every little spill or dirt.I had a black rug in there before and it showed everything. My problem is that I can't seem to get the wrinkles out of it.Down the sides of it are ripples and they won't go away. Therefore it won't lie flat on the floor and I'm afraid someone might trip ovr it and get hurt.
If you haven't already, try a rug liner. These sit on the floor between the hard floor and the rug and help to keep the rug in place. Also, gently iron the rug to try to remove the wrinkles - just be careful if there is an olefin content in the rug, as it is prone to being easily damaged from ironing. The final option is double-sided carpet tape - there are some kinds easily available on the market that are guaranteed to be removable from most hard surfaces with minimal effort. Good luck!
Q:How many carpet types do you recommend?
The exhibition carpet is usually 1-4 meters wide and 30-50 meters long.
Q:How do you remove the black from the carpet?
With a non-woven fabric dipped a small amount of shoe polish, wipe the surface of shoes, shoes and so on after a little drying (do not make direct sunlight shoes, when the direct sunlight is harmful to leather shoes), and then non-woven shoes polished. A pair of clean and pretty shoes will show up in front of you. If you have a bubble bath in your shoes, then you should put the carbon bag in your shoes into your shoes. (stuffed with a soft, clean toilet paper), it's done!
Q:I am repainting and decorating my spare bedroom and have a question regarding carpet and area rugs. The room has honey stained pine hardwood floors which I want to keep. I dont really want to have carpet installed in the room, so here is what i'm thinking. How do you think it would look if I bout a piece of carpet alittle smaller than the size of the room and put that down? Like 3-5 inches of hardwood still exposed around the edges of the room. Would this look weird? I want just a plain colored light tan carpet with a thick nap or shag like. Any body have this or seen it done? Also should I do something to the edge of the carpet to keep it from unraveling? Thanks for any help
It okorder / .. Any high quality rug won't unravel as it will be reinforced at the edges. To keep the rug from curling at the edges on your floor, adhere it with carpet tape to the floor.
Q:I bought a turquoise accent rug from target and it's bleeding onto my tile. The label says spot clean only but if I put it in the washing machine will all of the color come out? Is there any other way to clean it?
Hmm. I have bought the same type of rug only in a dark blue with the note to spot clean. I had the same thing happen except on linoleum. I didn't really pay much for it so I thought I'd try washing it on a gentle cycle, the materials it was made from was pretty durable (don't know what yours is made of) so I washed alone and added vinegar to the wash (which is said will set the color). I washed mine on a medium load to make sure the water completely covered the rug, add the vinegar to the water as its filling. I poured mine in but if I had to guess I used about 2 cups and don't use detergent. I stopped the cycle and let the rug sit in the solution for about 1/2 hour then continued the wash cycle. I thought it did a good job. I used the vinegar/water wash a few times and noticed that it did help with the bleeding. Good luck whatever you end up doing.
Q:I just moved to an apartment and the carpet smells real bad

Q:we live in a rented apartment, we have carpet installed but we would prefer hard wood so much better. is there a way, inexpensive much preferred, to have hard wood over the carpet without damaging the carpet? hope to hear some interesting suggestions, thanks!!
The tile floor would be ruined, and the value of the house lessened, but it can be done. A better idea, if the tile is nice is to buy large area rugs which have no slip padding on the back. It will be easier to keep the room clean also, around the walls, etc. Wall to wall carpeting really picks up a lot of awful stuff, look how much dirt you sweep up each day? A tile floor is healthier than wall to wall. Get some better shoes for indoors, although I have marble and tile and love the feel on my feet, which no longer hurt as they used to.? Don't know what that means for you, though, Good Luck
