Q: The electromagnetic bose suspension system for cars seems to eliminate several problems due to bad road conditions, also provides additional stability and comfort when fast turning or breaking. Why is it then that it hasn‘t hit the market already? is it due to its reliability? cost?Thank you in advance.
Very carefully clean the contact pins inside the rim of the camera mount and also clean the contacts on the lens mount. You could have either dirt or grease on one or more of the pins/contacts. Otherwise, check out the camera with one of your other lenses. If it works okay, then send the Sigma 70-300 in for repair. Also, make sure your focusing switch is in the proper position and not in between settings.
Q: The invention involves a long rail made of laminated steel. I.E. it is made of thin cut-outs of the rail, stacked in a row down the length of the rail. A powerful permanent magnet is to move down the length of this rail, at a distance of a few millimeters. It will be inducing a magnetic field in the steel rail as it goes along. Question is, will it be generating enough eddy currents in the rail to create too much resistance for travel, or will it generate negligible resistance?
Well we know for sure that the inventor sucks. If eddy currents is what he wants, he would be using aluminum or copper instead of steel. :-)
Q: i recently had my front ball joint fixed. and my car is making the same noise again. am i doing something wrong? what are the causes for a ball joint to break or wear out??
It is perfectly fine to use a small, very small amount of silicone spray/gel (NOT silicone sealant) in order to avoid cutting the o-ring(s) upon piston reinstallation. not grease or oil of any kind. Do make sure the bore and piston are extremely smooth. A piece of scotch-brite works well, but make damn sure all traces of any abrasive material is rinsed from the area. Silicone will not react negatively with the brake fluid
Q: I was driving a 94 civic coupe, and hit a curb on an icy road near my house. I hit it at about 10-15 mph at now the front left tire has moved back a bit. I changed the tire to a spare because when i kept driving i could hear it grinding against my fender. When I was driving it for the last few hundred yards with the spare the car seemed to handle OK but when i tried to brake the brakes were not working properly so i used the ebrake a few times in order to slow down. Anyone have an idea what could be wrong, and how much would it cost to fix it? I bought this car a few months back and am not sure if it‘s worth fixing it since the car only cost 3500$.
From your description, at the least you have bent the lower control arm, which is repairable. It may cost $200 or $300, including alignment.hopefully you haven't distorted the unibody too much, which would require some extra work to get the alignment.
Q: I have a mountain bike with a rear suspension system on it. The back fork is attached to a spring and a piston so that it can give a bit when I hit a bump. Will one of those rear pannier racks fit on it or would it lock itself onto both the wheel and the frame. If it locked to both the frame and the wheel I suspect the up and down movement of the rear wheel would break it.
If you only need to carry a modest amount of gear a seat post rack like McG recommends will work. This type of rack won't support enough weight to carry much gear, though. Plus, be sure you have a good, metal seat post. It'll toast a fancy carbon post in the first couple of rides. In any case, you are correct. You can't mount a rack that affixes to both the rear dropouts and the seatpost on a full suspension bike. Basically, you can mount a rack on any two points that don't rotate or move independently. Depending on the design of the rear triangle of your bike, you should be able to mount a rack that affixes to the rear dropouts and upper seatstays. Or, if your bike is equipped for rim brakes, you can affix the rack to the rear brake bracket. If there is a pivot at the dropout and seatstay, you should be able to affix the bottom of the rack to the lower seatstay. Personally, I'd recommend taking the bike to your favorite bike shop and get them to help you out. Hope this helps.
Q: I leave for basic may 4th 2010. Afterwards i go to sheppard AFB and my job will be Aircraft Armament Systems Apprentice.Soo my question is does anybody know anything about this job? What is this job like? How long is tech school?
Its a great job, did if for 6 years. Sheppard can be a lot of fun if you just buckle down and work hard. You probably won't start school right away though. Be prepared for a couple weeks of details before your class starts. Once you're there you will find out what airframe (fighter, bomber, ect) you'll be working. I was actually there for about 6 months. I was at tech school 10 years ago, so I'm sure some things have changed. There were day and night classes. Both cover the same material of course, but get graves if you can. A much better environment! Not much to do off base, but enough to break some of the boredom. I only worked fighters (F-15/F-22) so couldn't' tell ya what the bomber world is like, but the weapons community in general is a really tight group of people. You'll have plenty of fun and get to go on some great trips.
Q: i want a fun car car but dont know what. either a 1969,2011,2012 ford mustang or a 2010-2012 whats your opinion?
start with basics cables new gas battery clean crabs change plugs new tires then determine what it is thats wrong by what it is not doing there is a wealth of info online find it and stop using the tired excuse i am only 16 i invaded france when i was 16 you need a can do attitude slick
Q: What are the cause of these?
wear and tear,and age , simple as/
Q: I think that would be great!Suggested Category :Sports gt; Cycling
Yeah, it should. They should at least tell you exactly what you did wrong to get suspended and they should at least give you a second chance. Some of us have worked hard to get to where we are. I lost my 1st account at level 7. Hopefully I make it with this one. VIVA LA RAZA!
Q: The front spring of a car‘s suspension system has a spring constant of 1.54×106 N/m and supports a mass of 243 kg. The wheel has a radius of 0.386 m. The car is traveling on a bumpy road, on which the distance between the bumps is equal to the circumference of the wheel. Due to resonance, the wheel starts to vibrate strongly when the car is traveling at a certain minimum linear speed. What is this speed ?
Yes, you can get lung cancer, throat cancer which is the worst and maybe even tongue cancer. The tar in cigarettes has alot of bad, very harmful chemicals. Ewww, would you drink a bottle of poison.
