- Q: Shelby was retarded for not modding anything but the engine. The car has no control. When I buy a Mustang, I definitely want an upgraded suspension system. Does Saleen upgrade the suspension like Roush does, or do they leave it as it is like Shelby?

- Q: Ok so ive been trying to do some research on what kind of suspension would be good for me but i cant seem to understand what the difference of these are. I have a 2004 Tacoma. I want a lift that will give me more clearance, it is 2wd so it isnt gonna go offroad very much. Can anyone help me make a decision to which would be my best choice as well as explain the difference between these different type of suspensions?
- Independent suspension allows each wheel on an axle to move without affecting the opposite one. This gives better ride quality at the expense of complexity and reduced articulation. Solid beam or live axle suspension has a single axle with a wheel at each end. It is cheap, and very strong, however the movement of one wheel is transmitted to the other wheel compromising ride on the road. Don't know what SAS is, some kind of airbag set up I'm guessing. These suspension systems are fitted by the factory and it's unlikely a previous owner would have swapped it out for something completely different. Too expensive. If you want a lift kit, get one to suit your vehicle. The Taco has a IFS I think but your dealer will give you a kit to suit it.

- Freak is not far off. They are very expensive, and chances are your local mechanic shop owner has some. They now put them out in DVD. They have replaced shop manuals.

- The cost of shipping is relatively reasonable, usually running around $6000-$15,000 depending on locations, insurance, carriers, time of year, etc. My cousin has had his car shipped to and from Europe ( american spec 3 series bmw), and the price has varied between 6 and 13 grand. The part that becomes expensive, is dealing with the US laws regarding safety and emissions. Not all Euro spec cars meet our requirements for safety and emissions. You would have to check with a DMV to find out where the requirements are, and see if this is even feasible. In all honesty, it would be cheaper to buy an aftermarket suspension system for your Porsche.

- Maximo, you can buy anything these days, the question is should you? NO! Your car is fine, if you want more response, go for a slightly lower profile, high quality tire. Screwing around with expensive adjustable aftermarket suspension components will absolutely ruin your car.

- Q: The creaking sounds like some springs at the bottom of the car is rusted. My car is a 2000 Volkswagen Passat. I weigh about 155 pounds, so I‘m not heavy enough to crush the car. When I rock the car up and down by pushing down on the trunk of the car, I hear that noise also.I suspect that it is the car‘s suspension that is at fault, probably has rusted springs.
