Q: I have a motorized bicycle kit-- which bike should I put it on?
In my opinion, unless the mountain bike has some kind of suspension system, it should depend on the kind of tires you're using. If the beach cruiser is using a high volume, low pressure style tire, I would put it on the beach cruiser. This would make for a way smoother ride than on the mountain bike, and give you way better traction, which is a big big plus for higher speeds. A treaded mountain bike tire would actually give you less traction, because there is less surface area of the tire touchng the ground. This is all assuming that you aren't going to be taking it off road, by the way. Hope this helps!
Q: It has 35,000 miles, the original suspension system doesn‘t need replacing, but would like to have a smoother ride, so considering an upgrade. Thanks!
i would suggest a different tire then going to suspension extremes. try going into different set up. i would suggest looking into a bf Goodrich or Michelin tire with a low rolling resistance. however a shock with adjustable rebound will help but will give you more bounce and most of the time are designed for a sport set up with a short throw for a lowered vehicle.
Q: steering wheel shakes git up to 60?
Tire balance , Bent rim or front suspension system damage.
Q: The first time I got suspended was when I skipped my detention and extra school. I got the detention after forgetting to wear my ID. That suspension was 1 day. I got suspended 2 days for inappropriate behavior and comments. Do you think I still have a chance of getting into a community college? Sources?
No. The community college system where I grew up (New Jersey) guaranteed admissions as long as the person has a High School Diploma or equivalent. Look at the admissions page on the cc's website. They should have more information for you. Also, I don't think suspensions appear on you High School Transcripts, just classes, grades, and grade-point average. Your student file doesn't go to the college.
Q: I'm looking to buy an air ride suspension , kit , or system for a 1971 vw bug. you know, the air bag / hydraulics type of deal. looking for a complete kit including compressor, bags, pipes, valves, switches, ect. any web sites , places , phone numbers , or even if you have a used for sale please let me know it will hep me alot. Thanks
Dude check out Volks World, its where I get all of my stuff from. Try eurocarparts online as well, loads of stuff on there Hope it helps
Q: what bike should i get, experienced riders only!!!?
Try Trek Fuel, Specialized Epic
Q: in field of mechanical, automobiles .
Although I am more into electronics engineering, I am very much into crossovers of one technology into another. My suggestion, especially in the area of automotive engineering, would be a paper about the closely coupled areas of electronic control systems as integrated with mechanical designs. For instance, things like electronically controlled suspension systems, anti-lock braking systems, and anti-rollover systems for SUV's. Heck, even the design of a automatic door locking system entails fairly complex mechanical and electrical designs. These types of designs entail close working between the mechanical as well as electronic engineers, and an understanding to some degree of both areas of expertise by each. Point out the importance of each, you can have a great control program sitting on micro-controller, but without a new mechanical device designed to implement the physical aspects, it would be worthless. The other side of the coin is that some great ideas for a mechanical device would go unused, without the means to monitor and control its workings in some automated way. The combination of the two makes for functionality and safety designs, as well as fuel efficiency designs that were not possible to implement not so long ago. Think alot about sensors and closed loop, intelligent feedback sytems and their relation to mechanical systems. Hope this might provide, if not a specific topic or title, at least some inspiration for thought. Good luck!
Q: what is involved in replacing worn out ball joints on an 86 crown vic. LTD?
I did it once in high school. The harrowing part was lowering the ? arm with a floor jack to remove the coil spring. Cleared out one end of the shop in case it decided to go BOING!. The remainder was beating the tar out of a separator to get the old ball joints out. If I recall it was a sledge hammer head on a short handle that we used. My truck needs ball joints. Haven't decided whether to do it myself or not. Not looking forward to it. I have this vision of a coil spring blowing a hole in the side of my garage.
Q: Citroen experts only please, or someone who‘s had the same problem. The suspension height ‘regulator‘ fails to recognise the ‘normal ride‘ setting. Low setting is fine, off road setting is fine. It will go from low to high, and high to low and that‘s it. It won‘t go from low to normal, or high to normal. What does the accumulator sphere do, and is the anti-sink valve the same thing as the accumulator sphere. Is there an accumulator sphere on the front as well as the back, and if it is a different thing, does it have a anti-sink valve on both the front and the rear. Is the LHM fluid level crucial to this problem and how do I get the level between the two red rings on the glass dome on top of the reservoir? I‘ve never seen the level between the two red rings no matter what I do! Also, the front end occasionally sinks noisily when I turn the engine off (maybe once in 20 times I switch off) Citroen suspensions a problemI should say so! I‘m out of space, so more in next question
There is an anti sink valve under the LHM reservoir in the engine bay, it will be this at fault, not the spheres. If the suspension spheres need replacing the ride will be very hard, but they will not make the car drop at all. The anti sink valve will need to be replaced by a Citroen specialist or a main dealer, it is not a DIY job, the system on your car is highly pressurised, and any work carried out is potentially dangerous. The valve is approx ?60, fluid ?12 and roughly 1.5 - 2 hours labour.
