- If it's an x5, you are probably, and when I say probably, I mean, change both of them and buy a spare. More than likely, your vehicle has self-leveling rear-axle suspension. This means that your vehicle has air bags in place of the rear shock absorbers. There is an air pump under the rear cargo mat. It regulates compressed air between what are basically, two cylindrical air bags places where a gas strut would normally be. These air bags (pneumatic springs) rot away from folding under the weight of the car and leak. The car pumps and pumps, but the ride height doesn't change, so it tell you that it isn't work and stops trying. I'd recommend changing both of them at the same time and clearing the module's fault codes with a GT1. My company charges 2 hours to change one. So I would say 3 hours elsewhere. - Well honestly you need to slow down, but anyways, due to the fact that I just got off the phone with BMV of Ohio, the lady said that yes it is true that if you are under the age of 18 and receive 2 moving violations, that you will receive a suspension. Then I asked her what if the first one was never put on record, she then told me then it is not going to effect you. That is all you had to do was call them.good luck and slow down!! LOL
