Q: we just got it back from the mechanic who replaced the transfer case. when we got it back i noticed that the check air suspension light was on and now i‘m not hearing the compressor kick on. any ideas?: He/she would have disabled the air suspension system to do the work. There is a switch to turn it on and off and I believe it's located behind the right kick panel in this car.

Modifications like lowering only guarantees that it will be either overdamped or underdamped. Just watch the way those ghetto boxes drive around, bouncing and wallowing about. Millions are spent on factory suspensions and granted they are a compromise but you won't be able to get as well designed a suspension just by picking parts out of a catalog or a magazine, that is unless you spend millions to get some engineers to redesign it for you.
