Q: I already know how a rear suspension system works, and how shock absorbers and springs work, but what I can never understand is that in a front wheel drive car, if there needs to be a straight axle to convery power to both front wheels, how can they turn without coming unaligned? And even in rear wheel drive cars, if there is an axle, how does the system work?I already looked at the howstuffworks article on it, so if anyone has a good big article on it, I‘d like to read it, or even if you could explain it here.
You don't need additives if you keep up on preventative maintenance
Q: and some steering components. Anything I should know before doing this? Any tips to reduce the noise I hear when I go over a bump or turn the steering wheel? Thanks for your time.
It really doesn't matter. Just pump or blow it until the tire feels hard. Don't worry about over inflating it either, that's really hard to do.
Q: How about having one of this crank in one every room for using it only for light?
all straight pipe with cherry bomb glasspacks.
Q: Hey everyone. I am lifting my 1986 Chevy Silveraldo k20 truck. Is it best to go to Les Schwab and tell them i want a lift? or go online at like summit racing equipment and buy my lift then and have someone install it? Cause i want a 6in Skyjacker. Can Les Schwab do that? What do you think? And do you think a 6in Skyjacker is a good way to go? i heard they are stronger then nails.
The 6 inch Skyjacker lift is stronger than nails and rides like it too. You can save a lot of money buying the lift off of the internet and having someone else install it if you cant but you should know that a lot of garages will not install parts that they don't order themselves because a lot of times they try to do the installation and find that it is wrong or not complete and tie a bay up for a long time. When a bay is tied up with a vehicle they cant work on they lose money. So it would be a good idea to ask the garage if they will do it before you buy. Anther thing to consider is do you need a 6 inch lift? I put a 6 inch lift on my Chevy and it makes 35 inch tires look like tiny spare tires or something. To make it look good you will need to run 40 inch tires at least and then you have to worry about your gear ratio. With tires that tall you will want to run a 4.56 ratio gear set to keep enough power to spin them. You may also have to build the motor some to get more low end torque so that you are not driving around with the gas pedal smashed to the floor all the time. Another problem you will have with that much lift is you will have to get new drive shafts made to fit the truck because they will need to be a few inches longer. And then it would be a good idea to clock your transfer case so that the front shaft is not at too bad of an angle. If you don't do this it will shake like a wet dog in four wheel drive and it will be hard on universal joints. Personally I wish that I went with a 4 inch lift instead because it eliminates almost all of those problems and 35 inch tires look awesome on that set up. The smaller lift is also really easy to install and can be completed in just a few hours with no special tools. Its up to you but I felt compelled to let you know what is involved in this project. Hope I have been helpful.
Q: I hit a speed bump not too long ago, going maybe 30-35 over it. The car obviously felt and sounded bad, but I‘m worried about damage to it. It‘s a new 2014 forester, will it be hurt? The suspension is new, could this have hurt the car already? Put my mind at ease.
Cars are now designed with special shock and suspensions and since it's NEW.chances are the only thing bruised here is your ego. Older cars would have moaned and groaned and maybe something woulda broke, If you don't hear any weird noises or the car doesn't have a tendency to stray one way or the other on the road.I'd say you're just fine!! ( chances are you MIGHT have a scratch on your lower oil pan. Look for any leaks.I have a feeling you'll be fine though.check it out if you wantthey'll charge just to LOOK though. ) I think you'll be fine!
Q: I recently purchased a 2004 Mazda 6. It has 70,000 km on it (43750 miles). I notice that the ride is very bumpy. Basically I feel and hear every single bump or cracks on the road or the highway. Is this normal? If not what is it to blame?I am maintaining the tire pressure at the suggested 32 psi for all 4 tires. Should I be trying to vary this for improvement? The tires as you know are low profile (profile ratio: 50). I know these kind of tires are known to have a little bumpy ride. Or could it be the struts?Comments from any Mazda 6 owners would also be greatly helpful. Any mechanics out there would also be able to provide great answer to my question. Thank you all in advance.
This Site Might Help You. RE: 2004 Mazda 6 bumpy ride. Is it suspension (struts or shocks) or low-profile tires? I recently purchased a 2004 Mazda 6. It has 70,000 km on it (43750 miles). Q: True or False1. A floating caliper disc brake uses a single piston mounted on a sliding caliper to pinch a brake rotor between two brake pads2. Most small cars have a fully independent front suspension system3 Cruise control systems typically release the accelerator after receiving a signal from the brake light switch4. Unlike a standard differential, a limited slip differential will not send most of the power to a drive wheel without traction5. The driveshaft in a rear-wheel drive car may use Cardan joints and a slip joint rather than CV joints
It take a cylinder crammed with water to hydrolock an engine, if the air cleanser remains in place then many of the water from the rain will end there, a chilly air intake oftentimes attracts air from the element of the engine compartment dealing with down in direction of the floor then you definately do not could desire to difficulty approximately water till the line is flooded and you suck it up into the engine, you would be extra useful in basic terms paying for one already made, in spite of the incontrovertible fact that they are in common terms stable for 3-7 Hp extra reckoning on the engine so which you are going to probably not observe it besides.
Q: i got a new 15 solo baric l7 i just dont want to mess anything up before i go beating down the road how long is the bbreak inperiod
You dont even need to wait a week just make sure to slowly turn it up and you can bump it right off the bat. the cone just takes time to actually work in which is what the breakin actually is. it just increases the loudness and sound quality a bit
Q: and the controls?answer for both motor scooter and normal push scooter.you know. the kiddy ones
MOTOR SCOOTER: Suspension - break system NORMAL SCOOTER: Suspension - little pedal break at back
Q: i dont think its needed at all. its not like a lowrider lincoln that feels like riding on a really comfy sofa at 80 mph.
