8. Applications of Galvanized Iron Wire

weaving wiremesh, baling, armouring cable.

Galvanized iron wire is mainly used in making chain link fence ,barbed wire ,gabion basket, hexagonal wire mesh, crimped wire mesh, expressway wire mesh fence, and more .

In addition, the galvanized wire also can used as binding wire to bind everyday objects.

Q: What is the use of Fence baebed wire?
Barbed wire was invented back in the 1800,s its main use was to keep cattle in, a open area, with out building a big fence. i think there is 5 different types
Q: If someone were holding onto a high-voltage wire by both hands, why would his/her body have the same potential as the wire? How come his/her body would attain the same potential as the wire?
Any open ended conductor (a human body in this case) making contact with another conductor will automatically attain the same Voltage potential as the other conductor with respect to the opposite terminal of the source Voltage that supplied the Voltage. For example if you make good contact with your finger to the positive terminal of a 12V battery then that puts your whole body at 12 Volts above the negative terminal of that battery. Two conductors in contact with each other will always be at the same Voltage potential at the point of contact. The fact that both hands are on the wire makes no difference because the resistance of the high Voltage wire between the hands is so small compared to the resistance through a human body from one hand through the chest and out the other hand that all the current if any would go through the wire and not through the human body. If however the wire was cut in two at any point between the two hands then one hand would have the full positive source voltage and the other hand would be at reference 0 Volts. Consequently the body would most likely immediately burn to a crisp due to the current through the body. If the body did not disintegrate and current continued to flow through it then a Voltage gradient would be established from one hand to the other with one hand at full wire Voltage and the other hand at 0 Volts.
Q: The wire from the cicuit breaker
Agreed. 10 ga. You could use 8, but it would be a waste of money and it is much harder to work.
Q: Hello, I have a 4 year old Trane XR12 unit. Recently the compressor fan is noisy, and now stops when when under power after 5-10 min. The main fuses and breakers are fine, the fan spins freely when turned, the contactor pulls in fine, the dual capacitor checks out. But, the wiring of the capacitor does not match wire diagrams. Could this have caused the fan motor to prematurely fail?..............................Terminal: C red wire, FAN brown wire, HERM has both orange and purple. Schematic shows the purple wire should be with red wire on common C. The purple also leads to fan.
Hi, I looked at the schematic on-line. If you still have the original fan motor in the unit then you are correct. The center terminal on the capacitor should have the red wire from the T1 terminal of the contactor, the red wire from the compressor, and the purple wire from the fan. The FAN terminal should have the brown wire from the fan. The HERM terminal should have the orange wire from the compressor. The black wire from the fan and the black/blue wire from the compressor should lead back to the T2 terminal of the contactor. Again, that is if the motor is the original motor. If it was replaced at some point in time, the wiring colors can change from manufacturer to manufacturer, in which case it's possible that the new motor is wired correctly. There should be a diagram on the motor to show you the correct wiring configuration.
Q: i have two 12 gauge wires running from my battery to my sub amplifier, does this effectivly mean i have 6 gauges. each wire has a 15 amp fuse so does that also mean i have a 30 amp fuse?
Id say run 3 strands minimal because sometime it says its a certain gauge but there is not much wire inside, and to add the the 2X 12gauge = 9 gauge use 3 strands.. better chance of working right.
Q: I've been asking questions to my mom about what is inside the new receiver and then suddenly i asked my mom, what is inside a wire? She didn't know what was inside a wire so i asked if i can post my question on yahoo answers, and then she said yes so i did it.
thers different types, under the rubber/plastic insulation thers usually copper, but thers also aluminum, thers #1 and #2 copper wire, one is thick 2 is small, ther can be solid or a bunch of thin ones wrapped in a spiral, in the spiral the electricity only uses the outside wires, pretty neat...but fiber optic is glass, they are coved by a main rubber insulation then ther's all the small wires inside wich is also insulated, if you take that off then thers one more tiny layer covering the glas you have to scrape off to actully see the glass, wich hurts worse than a cactus if it gets in your skin, not fun...wires can be very tiny and can be very large, i have samples of wire as thick as a golf ball, very heavy, you have to use a electric wench system to pull it
Q: I understand how to wire sprinkler valves in theory. But in practice, how is it done. For instance, starting at the last valves in the run, the common wire is attached, but in a 7-strand wire, you may only use 3 colored wires or so. What do you do with the unused wires? Just leave them dangling? Cap them off with a grease cap? Then, as you arrive at the next set of valves, do you cut the entire strand and splice, or just cut out the individual colored wires that you need to wire those valves?
As general practice (GP), phone company technicians wrap the extra wires around the end of the cable (both ends). This keeps them out of the way, yet they are there for later use, if necessary.
Q: I recently instaled a Alpine in dash dvd player, the only wire i have left is the safety wire that needs to go to the parking brake wires. Where can the parking brake wires be found on a Ford Explorer and which 1 shound it go to ??? Thanks in advance!

Q: Just bought a new amp for my truck. The speaker outputs needs to be indiviually wired to the door speakers. Do you splice into the speaker wire or the trucks harness?
ideally you want to wire directly from the amp to the door speakers with new speaker wire but doing this properly requires removing some of the trimming and passing the new wires throughout the car. you can also take the easier route and pass the wires from your amp up under the steering wheel behind the center console and splice them into the existing wires going to the door speakers. as long as the wattage isn't very high the latter shouldn't be a problem. however, if it were up to me i would use new wires and pass them throughout the car, removing the trimmings, etc. this can be somewhat of a pain to do if you have never done it before though.
Q: I'm trying to hook up my second phone line. I have a red, green and yellow wire in the cable, but no black wire. Is there a reason for this? And what can I do to get the second line up and running? thx
the wire you have is designed for 1 line only. Back in the day the yellow wire was used to carry ground because ground was necessary for old circuits. Ground is no longer needed so in order to get two lines you need at least a two pair wire (meaning four wires) you might have to run a new wire unfortunately or just keep that one and run another to separate jack.
