Q: I heard about the reactor and could someone tell me the story and what could happen thx.: The earthquake made the Nuclear power plants shut down automatically, which shut off everything. So the reactor couldn't cool it self with water. Because of this, it overheated, the power plant exploded, causing radiation to leek out. I tried to explain this as best as I could. Q: Hi. I'm thinking about getting a Kubota Diesel Generator. I have read in many places that the Kubota Diesel engine is the gold standard of Diesel engines. So I'm not worried about that. What i need to know is this, is the generator as a whole dependable? Will over loading it for a few short seconds when the AC compressor kicks in burn it out or shorten its life?Any other insight would be appreciated.Thanks for your answers: Kubota diesel plants are being used more and more in industry, replacing some of the old standbys like Kohler, Perkins and even Caterpillar in lighter applications. I don't think you will regret buying a Kubota.

Q: I really need to know to know this.@ two days old. my baby was subjected to a high level of diesel fumes coming in from the hospital vents. Q: I will put this generator to power my automated vehicle which have sensors, servo for the steering, motor for the rotation of the rear shaft, laptop for camera vision etc.: A battery powered wheel chair has everything you need. You can buy an old one cheap and fix it up to work as your automated vehicle. Use Lithium Ion batteries for maximum power or one of the new AGM car batteries that provide deep discharge operation.

Q: I want to know if i can get a 40kvh generator (witch is usually ran by 4 cylinder diesel engine) to run with a water wheel and some poulies??: If you mean, 40 KVa generator,you may be able to run it by a water wheel, but you need a water discharge head of 50 to 100 ft. Most developed hydroelectric power have discharge heads of 300 ft.

I need something that can create current, but doesn't come with any mechanical input.I basically need an alternator that can produce power on the 30 kilowatt level.: How do you expect to create current without any mechanical input? All generators require a mechanical input, you have to turn the shaft to get an electrical output. Unless you want something like a solar array? Rereading, I think you want a generator without a motor, but with a mechanical input in the form of a shaft that you rotate? Is that correct? Looking on google, I see what you mean, a search for generator 30kW turns up tons of diesel generators, but not just a generator. Q: I have two deisel engines and two tank feeds, how can I connect the genset (4KVA) . I am conerned when the engines are idling or even running they will start the genset. I do not want to put an extra tank.Thank you: If your tank has another port on it for a fuel line that is where you hook up. If not go to the supply line at the tank and put in a T fitting and then a shut off valve for each engine. Run the supply line to the generator from that T. You will also need a return line from the generator that you can T into at the return line from the engine at the tank. Many people that convert from gas to diesels run into these same problems. Often a fitting is made up that is put in the fuel fill line to allow for the return line. The generator supply and return lines will be smaller then the engine fuel lines. Running the engines will not cause the generator to start.

If it were just the people, and they were not used to electrity, maybe a MegaWatt would be enough, for a while at least. Since you would be burning diesel to make the electricity, price would be high. You might want to get firm contracts that somebody would buy all you generate.
