Q: Ok on an Advair(medicine for asthma) I saw one of the actors in a big clear, plastic chair a half circle hanging from the cieling does anyone know what im talking about and where i could buy one thank u sooooo much in advance!!!!!!! I'm remodeling my room !!!!
I believe you're looking for the Bubble chair... Here you go: images.google.ca/imgres?imgurl=ht...
Q: He just BLANTENTLY peed on my new comfy chair. We keep the box very clean, scooping several times a day (so thats not the prob)We recently rescued another cat (so I think thats the problem) I've use bitter orange, but I'd like a back up plan, something to keep him OFF MY CHAIR
I'm wondering if people will ever read what I have to say about tinfoil. DON'T use it. Not all cats hate it....some like to eat it. I know of a cat that DID....in my friend's words, he was shittin' tinfoil for a month.
Q: My wife and I found this old chair in a local shop. View the picture at:We think it was an old photographer's chair. We have no idea the vintage. Any info is appreciated and a link to an old photo of a similar chair in use would be great. Thanks.
It looks antique to me. g111r
Q: I think it's called Peter's Chair, but why is he considered infallible when he speaks sitting on that chair?
The Chair of Peter is not a piece of furniture. The Pope doesn't sit on it. The Chair of Peter simply refers to the office of Pope, instituted by Christ in Simon Peter.
Q: I have a stupid fear of electric chairs due to some bad dreams about sitting in one. I'm not a bad person in the death row or anything; I just have an irrational fear. I can't even look at an image of an electric chair without getting nauseous or fainting. Because of this I don't really like sitting in any chairs. Help me! :(
Well first of all I don't believe your fear of sitting in an electric chair is abnormal. You couldn't tempt me into one either! It was used as a symbol for death for many many years here in the US. It was held up as the ultimate price one would pay for doing something serious against the law. So the fear was ingrained in us even as little folks. I don't know your age, but my generation sure wanted nothing to do with the electric chair, and all the ugliness that goes with it. Do you have a fascination with death, as I notice the name you use here on YAN is Korpsie, and that is like asking for trouble. Why would you entertain such a name, when you claim to be afraid of the electric chair? It doesn't jive! It doesn't make sense to me. Your fear, or fascination, with death has overtaken your belief system. It has frightened you so much you are not even willing to sit in ordinary chairs. That is the irrational fear (not the electric chair!) Try to desensitize yourself by allowing yourself to sit in a sofa, or couch, and then move on to a few minutes in a chair, and then keep on doing that until your fear eventually goes away. You may need some therapy to deal with this problem. You spoke of bad dreams about electrical chairs. You know dreams are symbolic? Try to remember your exact dream, as then we can ferret out the real reason you are afraid of an electric chair. Earlier in your Life were you electrocuted by live wires of some sort? Something happened to make you very wary of electricity. Try hard to remember what it was, and then tell it to take a hike, because it's messing with your Life. OK? Good luck to you!
Q: What kind of each would you get (ex.graco ect)For the high chair would you get one that attatched directly to our chairs or get one all by itself (if that makes any sense to you)?Walker should there be any stipulations on it? Besides the obvious not using them aruond stairs or hot items things on that line.
Honestly I'd do what suits your home environment. If you have the space for a free wheeling high chair, then get one of them. Make sure they are easy to pull apart and clean. While they look fangle dangle and spiffy, they can be murderous to clean sometimes!! For a 5 month old though, I'd suggest one of those Hi-Lo chairs that actually recline. So when baby can't sit up, you can still have bub with you but reclined so they can see what you are doing. I have one myself which is very handy espeically for my now 5 year old when she was a bub. She had to go onto solids at 3.5 months (doctors orders for very severe reflux) and this reclining chair was brilliant. We still have that chair which I now use outside at our BBQ area for get togethers when we don't have enough chairs but I have since been given a babyco brand of high chair that actually clips onto the table. It's even more brilliant than a hi chair because you can still clean underneath it without the chair legs getting in the road. Bub loves it and I now which I had one myself from the beginning. With walkers, again, if you have the space go for it but I really wouldn't put a 5 month old in one just yet as they really are too short for them and they really can't hold themselves upright. If bub is too short for a walker, they tend to end up as toe walkers later one in life (not always but it can contribute) as they are stretching and trying to reach the ground to move around. Both I guess though, are not essential, they are more for our convienience rather than the child's. All the best though in whatever you decide to purchase :-)
Q: I been looking for hours online and all computer chairs have wheels :( I don't need to skate around in a chair. All non wheeled regular chairs look uncomfortable to sit at a computer. Thanks so much if you know of a place that sells them or even a model or whatever.
You'll have better luck with these search terms: Guest chair Reception chair Side chair These don't seem to be on rollers. I hope you find what you are looking for :)
Q: So my boy almost 1 year loves to scratch my chair. I don't really care because I don't like the chair, however I do not want to encourage this behavior because I will eventually get a nice sofa and chair. He usually stands up and scratches the corners so I have put the sticky paws tape in the corners, then he started laying down and scratching the bottom, so I put sticky paws tape on the bottom. He has now moved to the middle of the sides and back. I'm not taping anymore of the chair as that no longer bothers him. hes scratches through now.I've tried different smelling sprays- bitter apple, hartz brand and some all natural thing. He has scratchers and posts all over. he has ones that vertical, horizontal, diagonal-made of carpet, sisal and cardboard. he has one that is coved even (like a house) he sleeps in it. the largest is next to the chair he scratches and I kid you not, he steps on this scratcher to get to the chair.
I agree, spray water, maybe with a bit of something safe. I have a very expensive chair and my cat used to climb all over and after the first few digs in the leather, I covered it with a blanket. other than that, best of luck, cats are not like kids or dogs, at least in my experience, cats are a breed of their own and will do as they please.
Q: I want a more comfortable chair when I'm sitting at my desk, because the chair I have is kind of uncomfortable. I was wondering if there was a chair/couch type thing that is really comfortable. Or can I just put a couch chair in front of my desk.
And you have them in a range of prices to suit you. If you have to work at your desk, check out chairs that are specifically designed for desks as they offer many features that are comfortable, support and protect your back for long hours at the desk.
Q: I would like to get my boyfriend a nice chair for Christmas to watch his football games and play his video games in. I have a budget of a $1000 but if I can of course I'd like to spend less. I'm going to go to look at some La-Z Bots tomorrow but any other suggestions would be much appreciated. Also, is that even a good idea to get him a man chair for Christmas?
Yes, I think a chair is a pretty nice thought. Lay-Z-Boys are the best chairs... I would though, if he already has chair measure the depth of the seat. My sister got a love seat and your feet dangle because the seat is soooo deep... and it isn't very comfortable... So I'd measure that.. And also measure the width, because if there are any large people you don't want a chair that is only 30 inches wide, they won't fit in it... Probably look for around 35 inches wide. The depth you'll have to determine on your own, but ask the sales person if they recommend an average depth size... Happy shopping!! :-) and Merry Christmas...
