Q:I am getting married and am looking for the white outdoor wedding chairs. I don't want covers and don't want to pay per chair if I have to. I was hoping I could get a bundle deal.... But where?: Don't buy chairs, rent them. Because after your wedding is over, I doubt you'll need one-hundred-something white chairs. Besides, you'll save a lot of money that way. Try looking into local private party rental or wedding rental businesses. Usually chain stores sell for a lot more than private retailers, and a lot of times rental chairs go for bundle packs.

Q:I hear all the time that a chair seat is improper when riding a horse. I've seen pictures of what it looks like, so I feel like I have a general idea.However, I see riders constantly that ride with what I would associate with a chair seat. Most of the time, this is in western riding - and even western riders that are successfully competing. Sometimes the seat is really extreme.Now, I know there are differences between western and english riding, but I was always under the impression that a chair seat is bad because the rider has less control and it puts pressure on sensitive areas of the horses back. Does the western saddle just distribute the weight better?I'm not incredibly knowledgeable when it comes to horses, but I have ridden on occasion. I personally prefer to have my legs under me more as I feel like I have better balance and more control over what I am doing.So, what am I missing?: I cannot answer for certain, but I can give what I have experienced. I ride with a slight chair seat (not as bad as I used to, but my legs basically won't allow me to get my legs perfectly beneath me while not standing in the stirrups, joints won't let me at this moment). I actually feel like I have better shoulder control, especially with horses in training, when I have a slight chair seat due to my legs being closer to the horses shoulder and I have a deeper seat (I've never found a horse to be in pain due to chair seat, now I ride gaited horses so we don't trot, it may be different if you do have to trot) which allows for better seat signals (in my experience).

Q:So for my art project we have to create a very creative chair. It's a contest and I really want to do good. Q:what company sponsors or who created them and everything about them i need to know MILLER might be one im not sure how would i sell this i need ideas on office chairs: Well, I don't know if this will help you any but I work in an office and spend a lot of time sitting down. It would be nice to have a chair that has adjustable lumbar support, the kind made out of the microfoam like the new mattresses that have been recently marketed - you know the kind that conform to your body. This way if the back of the chair is adjusted to support your upper back, the lumbar is not over looked. Currently, I have only seen office chairs that support one or the other but not both at the same time. Also, current markets have chairs that massage or vibrate. These are extremely costly and who wants to plug in their chair to an electical outlet or recharge its batteries. I am thinking that if there were a way to create a warming or cooling sensation this might assist with the blood circulation and may be relaxing too. Just a thought. Hope this helps.

Previously, American designers had copied European steamer chairs, or French bistro chairs. The first companies to manufacture metal gliders and swings were The J.R. Bedding Company, in Philadelphia and Howell Manufacturing, whose designs were a rage at the 1939 World Fair! One of the first designers to create a chair that was marketed to the masses was Viktor Schreckengost, an eclectic inventor also responsible for the design of metal children's pushcars and bicycles for the recently defunct Murray Ohio Manufacturing Company (A distant relative informed me recently that their family name, popular in western PA, means scary ghost!) His Beverly Hills model, sold through Sears Roebuck during WWII, can still be found across the country. Schreckengost designed the chair by offering a free drink to all 428 workers at the Murray plant in return for their participation in its creation.
