- This chair is a Twist o matic Try turning the chair counterclockwise to go up, about ten spins should do the trick. You'll know you have reached the height limit when in starts to do a clunking sound. The same applies when you go down. I usually sit on the chair before turning it, so that I can see the difference when I sit on it again. If this doesn't work, the twist o matic device may be faulty and you can order a replacement through a dealer in your area.

- Ladders because when the two or more wrestlers are on that ladder reaching for the belt (or contract) its intense because you dont know who will fall or what crazy thing will happen to make them fall off. BQ: In pretty much every ladder match, what I just said happens. Let's say you are watching a Fatal 4 Way ladder match like what we saw at TLC. 3 men are on the ground, or in pain on their knees or something, one man clmbs up the ladder. That wrestlers' fingertips touch the belt. Another wrestler decides to try to stop the other. He climbs up. punching is going on. Then all of a sudden, a wrestler stands up and pushes the ladder and those two wrestlers go slamming to the ground outside the ring. Its entertaining watching these matches. BQ: I would say chairs because of what happened to Barret with those chairs falling on top of him, but it was really obvious that Cena would win that match. I think the TLC match for the WHC turned out the most successful because we all pretty much knew it was between Edge and Kane, but Edge was just dominating all these matches verses Kane and playing all these tricks on him. And we all know how WWE is, the one that seems to be better or is better and keeps beating the other in matches, usually ends up losing. So obvioiusly the number one contender would have to be a face (A wrestler who gets cheered). And that would be Morrison in this case. The triple threat match for the IC title was actually pretty good. But it wasn't TOO surprising Ziggler would win. I think that's it.

- You have to look at the chair in its original context. Look at other furniture from 1929 and you won't see anything else like the Barcelona chair. Mies van der Rohe and Lily Reich were pioneers for designing this chair from heir choice of materials, minimal lines, construction (stainless steel had just been developed). When properly built to original specs, it takes a lot of high quality materials and skilled labor to produce -- around 28 hours of labor is involved. $3900 is not much for 28 hours of labor considering all the sales people, craftsmen, managers, suppliers, delivery people, laborers needed to build and move one chair. Plus all those people require work buildings, offices, insurance, cars/trucks, phones... etc. $3900 only gets you the cheaper model, there is one made of higher grade materials at $6,000. When the chair was originally designed, it did not sell for that dollar amount, the price has been adjusted for inflation, but it still was not cheap back then, it is and will always be an exclusive item. Surely, the chair can be mass-produced by machine now and sold for cheap at Target, but then it wouldn't be an exclusive item anymore. BMW and Lexus could cheapen their products for everyone to have, but then, why bother? There are Corollas and Ford Focus for the ones who don't want to/can't spend the money. By the way, it's not a simple chair at all, it's very complex, it just looks simple because in the past 7 decades, other chair designers were inspired by that iconic design. It;s iconic because it was ground-breaking, an original thought at the time. To say it is simple is to say paper is simple... yes it sort of is, but it took humans millions of years to get around to inventing it.

- Thought this might still be useful esp for others who are also looking for the same stuff. Here's what I can say on this: Looking for a leather armchair that looks old-fashioned, and at the same time, has the kind of usage you are thinking about (the term “gynaecologist” was kind of a dead giveaway) can be rather difficult, and may require you to go to a custom furniture maker. This can be a somewhat embarrassing ordeal, if the design you showed is any indication of what the chair is to be used for. There are websites however, that do have similar looking seats, although not with arms as long as you pictured. There are chairs that are old fashioned looking, and there are chairs that have relatively long arms, as you depicted in your sketch, but for an old-fashioned looking chair with arms that long, some modifications may have to be made if you purchase a ready-made one from any of the online stores you search through. There are some that may be worth looking into, like this traditional looking button armchair with red leather upholstery and leather padded arm rests. You can have a local furniture maker alter the seat’s arms to get these to be as long as you want them to be, and to have them pad these with the same colored leather as the seat, to give you what you want.

- This question, as simplistic as it seems, is really a hard one to answer. The table would be nice to set things on, such as computers, lamps, televisions, etc. but then again, those could sit on the floor, if need be. A chair is extremely nice for a woman like me who has aching muscles (fibromyalgia), plus who has the friend, Art (arthritis) with her, at all times. I guess I had better choose a nice comfortable chair. Thanks for the offer of one or the other. :o)
