- Q: Does anyone know where I can find a Motorcycle tyres provider in Hobart Tasmania, Australia, that is open on Sunday?
- Do you have a local directory that might have the Hrs and days open in it.
- Q: its a rear tire which takes more work
- Motorcycle Valve Stem Replacement
- Q: I had some 650s over 40 years ago that felt like sitting on a Honda 350 and handled similar except that had more power. How come the new ones are so much larger that they sell today. Why can‘t they make a medium size bike just like they did 45 years ago?
- Modern motorcycles are in general noticeably heavier than vintage bikes (1970's and earlier) because they are better equipped. Brakes, suspension, electrics, electronics, frame, forks you name it, the technology has moved on. They try to make bikes as light as possible but these days there is a lot more going on between your legs than was the case back in the 1960's/70's. In terms of speed and power there are a lot of vintage and classic bikes that compare favorably with modern motorcycles but there is a world of difference in terms of sophistication, there's no computer-assisted suspension adjustment, ride-by-wire, engine mapping or ABS. And don't be fooled by a classic bike feeling like it handles as well as a modern motorcycle; modern tyres make a difference but check the speeds you are doing and you'll probably find that you aren't riding as fast or smoothly as you would be on modern machinery. Triumph have confirmed that they are currently developing a 250cc motorcycle though; it's still early days but it's expected to be launched around 2015 or 2016.
- Q: What does motorcycle tires 90-90-18 mean?
- 18 is the inner diameter of the tire (or the appropriate outer diameter of the rim), in inches.
- Q: In New England. Is it illegal? Obviously I won‘t be driving in snow or on ice, but if its cold and the weather‘s not bad enough for school delays/closings, can I ride a motorcycle?
- It's legal, but if a cop sees you and thinks that you are being reckless by riding your bike in the snow you will get a ticket for reckless driving. I got a ticket on my old KE100 for riding it in the winter and the cop was a complete douche. I went to court and lost. Good luck
- Q: my dirt bikes tires are 4.00-18 for rear and 3.00-21 for front i cant find them anywhere i just get 80/100-21 for front is this the same?
- Learn to use metric/metric conversion to inches., that should solve the problem.
- Q: I‘ve been looking online and I‘ve found front tires that say they‘re the same size as my rear and rear tires that say they‘re the same size as my front. As long as the size is the same (100/90/19) would I be fine putting a tire labeled rear on the front?
- particular, the bike producer ships a definite tyre with the bike, yet they do no longer make the tyre themselves; this is often between the large names. as long as you get the surprising length and velocity score, this is in basic terms a count of selection. Tyres variety quite in terms of dry grip, moist grip, tread intensity, off-highway / green laning skill, cost, how they experience once you lean it over, how long they final etc. you have have been given to think of, what's maximum mandatory to me? once you're using in all weathers - which I doubt, as you have have been given a gixxer ;) - then moist grip is a good sized situation. in case you do an impressive variety of summer time miles or hoon around for all time, perhaps an prolonged-lasting compound concerns greater. perfect wager: get on an vendors communicate board and ask there. i might say, attempt some thing distinctive only for the sake of it. My trailie got here with Bridgestone Trailwings as familiar and that they're a nightmare in the moist (they are not prevalent as deathwings for no longer something!) and after asking around, I switched to Michelin Anakees, that are 10x greater useful, for me a minimum of. those tyres are not ideal on your bike, yet you notice what i'm utilising at. save it bright facet up!
- Q: I have a 98 Honda CBR 600cc F3.My rear tire has worn off pretty badly, front tire is still looking okay. However, I have trouble deciding what to replace.FACTSExisting TiresFront: Metzeler 120/70 Sportec M-1Rear: Metzeler 180/55 ZR17 MeZ4 Steel RadialRecommended by the owner manual.Front:120/60 ZR17 (55w) [like Dunlop D204FK]Rear: 160/60 ZR17 (69W) [like Dunlop D204k]I noticed the size different between what I have and what it recommended on the owner manual (I bought it with those old tires). Now I replace, Should I replace with the exact tire of what I am having which is, again, 180/55 ZR17 Metzeler ?Or go with the owner manual recommended 160/60 ZR17?Note, I only have money to change the rear tire. Can some one mind explaining to me what those numbers mean?
- Nothing personal, if you can walk, you have enough movement to work the gears and brake.
- Q: I want to try one, but I am worried that it will ruin the tire. Just one cant hurt can it?
- This issue has been covered extensively on this board, but I will give you a little known fact tat is conveniently forgotten by those that find it irresistible; Inconsistent wear pattern: when you do a burn out that sets in motion a certain wear pattern that may or may not work out well for the tire. (it certainly wears alot of rubber in a short amount of time) -and causes premature failure And when the tire stars wearing unevenly, or starts getting cupped or uneven wear, well, that just leads to an ever increasing balance problem for the tire and results in bike instability. -Not very good news to dad when he has to buy you another tire a year ahead of time.
