- Q:my new bike won't steer enough to make 2 donuts to complete the DMV course 1 MPH! I need serious help/advice. I know how to lean the bike! It just won't lean and steer at that ridicilously low speed! I need some practical tips not tips from a super cool biker
- i would just replace the muffler, and weld it on. it doesnt effect anything and has a tighter fit
- Q:I have a GSXR 750 and the tires are getting pretty worn. I was wondering in opinion or in fact, who carries the best tires for a sport bike/crotch rocket? Michellin? Firestone? Anything? These tires are the only thing touvhing the ground when im riding, so i want the best i can get.
- I don't know how to get rid of them. When I was a little girl there was a ghost in my mom's apartment. I would wake up in the middle of the night and all my clothes would be swinging back and forth in the closet I would scream for my mom and when she would get to my door they would stop. Other really strange things happened and I don't remember this, but as my mom tells the story she got really mad one day and opened all the doors and started screaming at the ghost to leave us alone and go away. I know it sounds really crazy, but it worked. Nothing ever happened to us after that. Maybe that would work I'm not sure people might think your nuts if they were to witness it. Anyway that's my ghost story. Good luck!
- Q:If you‘re riding in 5th or 6th at high speeds and you let off the throttle completely, letting the speed of the bike drop without braking/holding in the clutch;-Will the bike even stall out, or will it drop to a certain speed and maintain it with no throttle?-Given that you don‘t pull the clutch in, will the rear tire lock up if the bike stalls while in gear?
- It will vary due to the type of bike and the road. The first one, where the bike is off throttle, most bikes will not be able to maintain any headway at idle, though some high torque engines (such as big V-twins) may be able to idle along. A down-hill grade would allow almost any bike to idle along in top gear. If the engine does stall, the bike will certainly come to a quick stop, though the tire may not break traction. If you have a slipper clutch, it won't lock up. All in all, this is a good way to dump your bike. Why the question?
- Q:i was told im better off buying a new tire. i ONLY have 8000 miles on the bike. any suggestion?
- It is safe to patch the tire providing that the punture is a small one. I would not plug a motorcycle tire with the exception of getting the bike home or a place where it can be serviced. Tire plugs were not intended for motorcycle tires. The tread design is much different and plugs depend on tread to stay intact. Motorcycle tires only have a fraction of tread that an automobile tire has, thus a plug has not much side surface to keep it intact. The best bet of course is replacement. A tire expert will have no problem with patching a tire if it is a good candidate for one. If they say that you should replace it, it is probably with good reason. Lacerations can cause a bubble or lump which is the prescription for a blowout, so if they say to replace it, do so. Dont plug a motorcycle tire though. Grace and peace to you!
- Q:I am looking at a Pirelli MT75 120/80-16 for the rear tire, and a Pirelli Sport Demon 100/90-16 up front. This is on a 2004 Ninja 250.Any concerns regarding the sizes or stickiness? I can get a very good deal on this setup, so if it sounds alright, I really want to jump on it.
- you'll be okay with the tires but really a 250 save the money on the tires sell the ninja and a 10 yr old and buy a real bike
- Q:I have a Honda Hornet CB 600 F2 and use it only for occasional rides, approximately 1000 miles annually.I am concerned about the tires. Although they look as new, they are getting old. For example, the rear tire manufacturing date shows 1704, that is approx April 2004. After how many years (after manufacturing date) should I replace the tire irrespective of milage?
- Five years is the maximum age (for car tires too!). Otherwise, replace if cracking occurs or when worn. If you ride in the wet, I would replace them BEFORE the Tire Wear Indicators are flush .

- Q:Will the tire size affect the ride ? I am trying to reduce the bounce factor due to the fact that I will be hauling a lighter motorcycle. Thank You.
- no they do not have to be on the car
