Q: I was looking at some 190/50/17. Will they fit. And whats the difference between to 2 as far as handling, etc. Thanks for any info.
Im going to assume that its a sportbike based on the size you noted. Most sportbikes can accept a 190, however I would advise against it because the bike will not handle as well cornering, or should I say it will slow your bikes responsiveness in cornering. unless you are drag racing it on the weekends, it really wouldnt offer you much other than the looks of a bigger tire. it is slightly wider, but putting it on a wheel that is made for a 180 will cause you to have some side wall over hang and with that being said, will also offer you some drift at higher speeds under cornering conditions. If the bike is a 600 (again I am assuning due to a lack of info) you will also be adding unnecessary weight.
Q: im 17 and i live in jersey, and im not sure whether i should get a motorcycle or a car. Gas is supposed to hit 4$ by the summer, so i want good mileage, and motorcycles can be bought cheap. Any suggestions?
Its easy for us on Maui, a motorcycle is the only choice. Gas has hit $4.01 for regular. Basic Insurance rates for a car is $800+ yr, MCs, $100+ yr. Those Chinese bikes are priced right. Get the 150cc or 250cc for a little better quality. The 50cc versions are too cheaply made. You should have your bike paid for after a yr and half or two yrs.
Q: I read somewhere that in order to prevent a crash on your motorcycle, you should warm up the tires. I was wondering how you go about doing this.Thank you all.Cheers!
generally there are two kinds of tires. street tires and race tires. race tires are designed to work most effectively (be stickiest) when heated to a high temperature, like taking brisk laps around a track. when they are not in their optimal temperature range, then they can actually perform worse than many street tires. Also, race tires have a shorter tolerance to heat cycles, that is the number of times a tire gets to operating temperature, and then cools down. so you will see racers get tire warmers, that keep their tires at that operating temperature between races. street tires on the other hand, are designed to be stickiest at a much lower temperature, that you would reach while riding normally on the street. since people also tend to not want to throw tires away often, they have to be designed to tolerate many, many heat cycles. usually riding for maybe 15 minutes should get your street tires into their optimum operating range. that whole swervy tire warming motion is just a bunch of BS.
Q: when i give the shop my tire and wheel do i get a record that i gave it to them to be work on? what do i expect?
Certainly within your rights to ask them for a receipt to prove they have your stuff.
Q: Ok so I live in Florida which is sunny and warm almost ALL the time. Where I live in Florida the highways (if thats what you would call them) have almost nobody driving on them so there is very limited danger in terms of other vehicles. I have roughly 2500 dollars to spend. All the cars I‘ve looked at are really crappy and they look ugly with incredibly high miles. But on the other hand the Kawasaki Ninja 250r I can get for 2000 dollars with low miles, great MPG and of course looks completely awesome, and have 500 left for bike wear. This seems like a great idea considering if I do have to drive I can very so easily get a ride. I‘m a senior in High School BTW.
Well motorbikes are dangerous as far as if you fall off you probabaly will break a leg or a arm or maby even a skull if you dont have a helm on.Also in car accidents you have no chance. But they have great milage and are really fun and easy to park, but as a first vehicle?I would have to say no,you should ride some thing smaller and slower before ya jump on a motor bike.Like a dirt bike, get the feel of it. PS if its raning forget about going any were :P.
Q: winter is approaching and i need to store my bike somewhere, i have no garage and little money. i was thinking of making an A frame with plywood on it to give some shelter from the snow (i do have a cover but when snow sits on it the moister seeps through). then there is the whole gas situation, what should i put in the tank to keep the gas from going bad? my neighbor told me about some stuff last year but i don‘t recall what it is. should i also clean and lube my chain before i store it away?
Some hybrid cars do this but they use the energy to charge the batteries. This might be a good place to look for information.
Q: i live in las pinas,,a good store near my area please
I dont know a good store where you live but i would try OKorder. maby someone there has some that will fit your bike
Q: how to change a tire on a Harley Davidson motorcycle?
Grab your Harley Davidson tools and remove the Harley Davidson NUTS from the Harley Davidson axle after you have placed that Harley Davidson on a Harley Davidson hydro-Lift. Refer to your Harley Davidson Shop Manual to what to loosen first in the proper Harley Davidson approved way, (eg. - rear Harley Davidson wheel - ) than proceed to the next Harley Davidson part Added Wade - Way Too descriptive about the family cat, poor thing!
