Q: If you‘re riding in 5th or 6th at high speeds and you let off the throttle completely, letting the speed of the bike drop without braking/holding in the clutch;-Will the bike even stall out, or will it drop to a certain speed and maintain it with no throttle?-Given that you don‘t pull the clutch in, will the rear tire lock up if the bike stalls while in gear?
Not in the higher gears, it will just slow down.
Q: I had new a new front and back put on, and a tune up. Rode away, and the front of the bike vibrates in an up/down motion at slow speeds, especially when you change speeds. Brought it back twice, and they re-balanced the front tire. Still nothing. The third time they replaced the tire with a different kind - STILL shimmies. I am bringing it back and they will KEEP the bike until they find the problem, but I am wondering if anyone else has experienced this, or if you may know what the issue is.
Racing tires are very soft compound, wear VERY FAST. If you do not have proper width rims, will have a very poor contact patch, as the racing tires are normally for wider rims, and a street rim makes them too round where they contact the street, there fore, do not have as much rubber on the road as a proper street tire. Also - expensive. The factory recommended tire size, in a brand name tire, Dunlop, Avon Michelin, Metzler, etc, not cheapies, will handle best, and give far better service than a 'racing' tire. If you are racing, of course, all things turn around, the things which make a racing tire unsuitable for the street, mostly are of no importance on the track, as long as you have proper wheels, the wear factor is not important, the greatly increased traction is crucial. And the wheels must be proper width for the tire you use. Go Fast, Go Safe, Go Smart. Tomcotexas.
Q: I just put on new tires for my 1980 KZ750. I have changed the rear tire before but this is the first time the front tire has been changed. Is that handling supposed to feel a lot different. I know the tire is on right and there is 45lbs of air but it still feels weird. Is this normal for a brand new front tire. It is a different brand and style of tire then the original. I don‘t know why, but I just feel like something is wrong. Am I just being paranoid because its feels a littel different or is there something wrong? It almost feels like the tire is loose even though I have checked it and re checked it and tighened and tighened it.
A different tread pattern or a different compound will make it feel strange at first. You also have another problem: too high pressure. The number on the tire is NEVER the one to use. Use the pressure listed in your manual, or on the sticker on the bike. One more thing about a new tire: mold release. Did you clean the tires before you took it out for a ride? The tire molds are coated with a release agent that will stay on the tire. It will make the tire slippery, especially in the wet.
Q: i bought a 2009 KAWASAKI LE650-A for 70 dollars and it looks like they can be replaced with dirt bike tires
Of course you can. I have been putting dual sport tires on street bikes for years. I know guys who put knobbies on their Sportsters. The Versys is a relatively light standard with a fair amount of suspension travel and decent ground clearance. It should work at least as well off-pavement as the Suzuki Vstroms, which people knob up all the time. Before the Versys hit the market, dual sport riders were hoping it would be a bit more offroad oriented. As it happened, it is pretty much a street bike, but is still light enough to do some exploratory riding on. With a pavement oriented DS tire like the pirelli MT90 or Avon Gripster, you can improve your bike's performance on gravel while giving up very little on the street. With a DOT knobby like the Continental TKC80 or Dunlop D606 you can really hook up on loose stuff and maintain decent road manners. Finding tires in the right sizes could be a problem, but the Cheng Shin 858 is a 50/50 tire that comes in a wide range of sizes. If you hunt around, I'm sure you can find something that will fit. Seventy bucks has to be a typo, right?
Q: Motorcycle tires printed on the TUBETYPE said what it means
That you have a car with a tire inside the tire
Q: I saw there a lot of tire sealant manufacturer in China, but the products was different a lot; I heard some of the products don‘t work at all.
Now the tire sealant quality levels in China can be classified as below: Quality level / Composition / Sealing puncture effect / Appearance Grade A: Chemical formula+Rubber+ Water / Good stickiness / Thick, Green colour Grade B: Little chemical+Rubber +Water / Common wheel rust /Thin, Black colour Grade C: Starchy Flour +Water / Cheating wheel rust /Thin, Grey colour Note: 1. For the Anti-Rust Anti-Freeze function of Grade A, most of the factories don’t have this chemical formula. That is why you can find in the northern part of China, only one or two tire sealant factory can sell their products there. Also this will be required as customer’s requirements. 2. In many countries, Grade B had been popularly accepted by customers. Note: In many countries, Grade B had been popularly accepted by customers. Please check the real wheel of Tubeless tire and motorcycle tire exhibition in their website
Q: what is the best motorcycle to get make and model?
I'm not going to give you a touchy-feely politically correct answer. The best motorcycle is the 1997 Honda GL1500-C Valkyrie standard.
Q: I am kind of OCD about my tire pressure. So, if I check it cold in the morning, for instance and it reads 33 pounds like it‘s supposed to and then I ride to work, when I leave work and check it again and now it‘s at 35 or something because the air has expanded during the day, do I then have to release 2 pounds worth of air?
check your tires cold like before you ride if its wrong adjust it. Tire pressure is very important over or under pressure can result in cupping, if a tire cups you can get a wobble a various speeds which is dangerous and bad for the life of the tire. so if its wrong adjust it, its good for you and your tire
