Q:Is there a way to prevent dry rot of my motorcycle tires while sitting in the garage throughout the winter?
In your case, it would be less complicated to let the wheel spin on the axle.
Q:How do you change tubeless motorcycle tires and what tools/materials are needed?
Let a Pro Do it . I have changed tires myself also for years But I Do Not do my bikes
Q:What should the pressure be on the 2005 EX250? I am new to motorcycles, so if you have any other helpful maintenance advice to share, please do! Thank you!
tire pressure is tire pressure, so the guage that works for cars will work on bike tires too. Usually the pressure is 28 front and 32 rear, but the pressure can be adjusted up o down to suit your riding style and preference. The owners manual has the recommended pressures listed in it. If your ike does not have one, get one They are well worth the investment. Better still, get the Kawasaki service manual which again will list all the proceedures and specs for the bike.
Q:I am running a 130/70-18 front on my v-star 950. I want to get some white wall tires but I can‘t find any in this size. I find many white walls in a 120/90-18. My question is; what is the main difference in these sizes. Is the 120/19-18 a wider tire or a taller tire? I think it will fit fine but I would like some reassurance before ordering.
specific, it extremely is going to although the a hundred ninety would be flatter around the tread and extremely slightly shorter , it extremely is going to slow your turn in speed slightly, and reason you to exert slightly greater attempt to hold the bike at a given lean perspective even though it extremely is going to in good shape. precise now i'm working one on my FZ6, have confidence me while its wiped out i'm going returned to a one hundred eighty!!! i assumed the FZ1 got here with a a hundred ninety inventory? maximum liter motorcycles do.
Q:What is it? What causes it? Does the tire just need to be replaced or is there something mechanically wrong with the motorcycle that needs to be fixed (ex. suspension etc.)??

Q:I have an 87 cbr 600 hurricane and the rear tire on it now is a 130/80-17 and i wanted to know If I went to a bigger size if I would need a new rim or would the stock rim be able to handle the wider tire. If I went to a 140/70-17 or 150/70-17 and would I have to change any of the electricals to account for the different size. thanks in advance
The problem with going to a wider size is that it is more likely to foul against the swingarm or mudguard, especially at speed. I would guess that a 140/70 would fit but check your clearances are sufficient (remember to compress the suspension too).
Q:I heard this from an old school mechanic. Is this a myth or a great tip?I know absolutely it wouldn't affect the tires performance if you put looped noddle in the tubeless tire when you mount it but how would it affect incase you get a flat would it help it to keep it on the wheel for a while or would it make it worse? Please mention your experience on your answer. thanks
Balance and ability to hold it up will be a problem for sure. And it is true farmers put water and antifreeze in their tires. They do it for two reasons. One is for added weight to make the tire pull better and the other is for counter balance on slopes. A tractor is hell to stop with the tires full, but about a third of the way filled they are easy to stop and won't turn over on slopes as easily. They also put as much as 1500-2000 pounds on the front bumper to be able to lift heavy implements with the three point.
Q:for a Dunlop 170/70B16M/G758 rear motorcycle tire? This one is not expected to be in stock for quite some time and I need a new rear tire now ! The 170/70H 16 is available now. But what is the difference?
170/70-16 appears to be the size of BOTH tires. What is the issue?
