Q: We have a 2005 GMC Sierra 1/2 ton truck that has a check engine light on. The dealer checked the code and he told us we need a new Evap Vent Valve and clamp. The cost is over 500.00 with labor being most of the cost. Is this diffcult to change out? Im a very mechanical person. Also he said it would be ok to drive for now but could cause problems down the road. ????like what?My wife is getting ready to take a trip in it, should it be ok for awhile? Dont have 500+ to spend on it now.

Q: Last year an echo revealed severe aortic valve regurgitation with low ef of 37 but ecg was normal. i am 36 yrs old. I have noticed that i often have chest pain when i lie on my left (especially after a heavy drinking or if my bp is high) but the pain subsides when i lie on my right or back. Is it possible that my aortic valve only leaks when i lie on my left side, if so, can I continue living a normal life without needing valve replacement surgery if avoid lieing on my left side. or i'm i fooling myself, is the heart damage progressing silently?
Hello, You don't tell us *why* your doctors think, you developed this problem with your aortic valve in the first place? Has there been any infection of the valve with germs, (bacterial endocarditis)? Did you have Rheumatic Fever as a child? Were you born, with stenosis or regurgitation of your aortic valve? Do you have abnormally early, clogging-up of your artery-linings with cholesterol?
Q: I went to the cardiologist yesterday and I was diagnosed with leaky aortic valve. I really want to know more information on it, but i cant find anything. Q: i just bought a junky trumpet, didnt come with a mouthpiece... how can i tell that the valves work? They press in and dont stick, but im not sure about their functioning. Also there are no caps on the valves, will this affect playing? lastly, it has a stuck tuning slide, how can i get this to work again?
whilst i develop into in intense college, I performed on a 3C and had a particularly good sound. in my view, i could in no way visit a smaller, shallower mouthpiece to play intense. i could quite develop my chops and be waiting to do it on a deeper mouthpiece. In college, I switched to and nonetheless at present play a Monette B2, that's analogous length to a a million a million/4C, and characteristic an excellent sound, and might play a intense G (4 ledger lines above the staff) and up on it. i exploit it for any group I play in, marching, stay overall performance, musical theatre, etc... ultimately it boils all the way down to private preferrence. %. the mouthpiece that feels the terrific to you and nonetheless can provide a good sound. you do not pick it so great and deep that your variety and sound go through, and you do not pick is purely too small and shallow which you get too outstanding and tinny of a sound. wish this facilitates.
Q: Also, Is a pneumatic control valve an ATC or an ATO; is it a FO or FC valve?
When the individual ego is very high, directly relating itself to universal oneness is a difficult process, so he or she can get married and experience and grow with each other and than expand further. Such elaborate procedures are followed in ancient tantra philosophies. There there is no husband and wife tagging required, just two partners agree upon to help each others evolve and help each other as a subject in there experiment and practices. My brother coyote above makes this point very clear. -- Deito Harirnama Harirnama Harirnama Kevalam.
Q: My mother is 40 and is going in on the 21st for an aeortioc valve replacement. We are so stress on deciding between what type of valve she should have to get. please help. please include things like costs and medicines and anything else that will give us more info.
Your initial respondant hit on the basic question - 1. A biologic valve which will need a least one replacement again sometime in your mother's lifetime (though maybe at that time a better alternative might be available). 2. A mechanical valve which has an unlimited lifetime but requires life-long and very careful attendant focus on taking anti-coagulation medication, lest she be at risk for stroke or complications associated with bleeding. On the positive, it typically never requires replacement. At this point, both valves are likely to do the job. I have ancedotally seen some unfortunate complications associated with biologic valves - but it may have to do with biologic valves being used more frequently as most individuals needing this surgery are older. (and therefore select the biologic valve more frequently) Having an open heart surgery is about as big of an operation as you can have and is never undertaken lightly - let alone thinking of making a decision to have several of these surgeries over a time. It is a highly personal decision which does not have a right answer. If your mother is very good about taking medication and getting follow-up blood tests, then a mechanical valve might be right for her. If she has multiple other medical problems and is generally of ill health, she might want to consider the biologic valve. Generally speaking, for a woman in her 40's, generally healthy, and generally good about following regimen, then a mechancal valve is probably the right way to go for her. I hope this is helpful. Good luck to you and your Mother.
