- Q:I'm extending one of my PSU power cables because is to short. the line got 2 black/1 yellow and 1 red (molex) I know the colors have to be matched but if at the other end I end up mixing the 2 black lines, will there be a problem?ps: I already sleeved the cable for that matter I can't see the 2 black cables inside and i forgot to mark them. :)
- first of all dont make any home made concoctions you can find those tipe of extensions in a pc store for under a buck and it dosnt mater the black cables are just grounds the important ones are the red and yelow
- Q:as far as i know, the only cable that connects the hdd with my motherboard is the sata cable, is this the cable that will do both transfer data and also provide electricty? or do i need another cable to connect the hdd and to power supply? same for my sata dvd burner, thx!
- Sata cable is slim and usually is red color. This cable only to connect your HDD to mainboard. For the power there's another cable for SATA HDD. If your power supply provide the connector, usually the head is flat and a little bit bigger than SATA cable head. but if your power supply doesn't have the connector, you can buy the converter from molex to SATA.
- Q:I've just bought myself a new motherboard for my 9800 GT but it isn't picking it up and allowing me to install it's drivers. I have noticed an extra plug on the back of the card and wondered if it maybe needed an extra power plug to it? If not, what else could be the problem?
- Yes, okorder /
- Q:I had a power outage and I fixed it and now my cable wont work. The cable box is on it's just that there is no picture and not even the control can make it work. Can anyone figure out a way to help me with this?
- True, usually unplugging modem for a few seconds does the trick.
- Q:3 (WDZBN-YJV-4x240 + 1x120) cable how to interpret
- Should be such a model it WDZB-YJV0.6 / 1kV4x240 + 1x120 power cable halogen-free low smoke flame retardant B grade refractory cross-linked polyethylene insulation - polyethylene jacket 0.6 / 1kV power cable, 4 core 240mm + 1 core 120mm copper Core cable.
- Q:Hifor the last days a strange thing happened. Every time I start my PC it say no video input and there is just black screen. The mouse and the keyboard is dead too. but every fan in the chase works. BUT when I unplug the power cable from the power supply and then plug it back again after 2 seconds the PC starts again without a problem. Anyone knows what is the thing that cause such a problem?THanks for the help!
- I would say it's because of the mainboard. About 3-4 months ago, I had problems just like that. I didn't unplug the power cable actually. I switched off the plug for the PSU. Basically, it works the same way: stop provding power to your PSU. However, my PSU was new. I had bought it 2 weeks so chances that the PSU was broken is very small. And a month ago, my computer was suddenly dead. Yes, dead, R.I.P, gone. When I tried to turn it on, it was just a black screen. Eventually, stop provding power didn't work anymore. Now I have to use my mom computer and wait for my dad to buy a new one. So be careful, it maybe PSU or the mainboard problem.
- Q:Opened the inside. Next to fuse, it says 8A 125VPower cable says it is 7A 125Vdevice doesn't not work. Could this be the problem? Not sure if the power cable is the original.
- Did you check to see if the fuse was blown? Non- operation can be caused by fuse deterioration over time, in relatively heavy current situations. However usually, a blown fuse is indicative of more serious problems, which will not be rectified by replacing a blown fuse. A replacement would just blow again. The power cord/ fuse markings are irrelevant, they're fine. They are there to ensure any replacements are fit for the purpose they were intended for.
- Q:I found a box of power cables that I could use to hook up my PC and I know some of them were for old CRT monitors. Is it safe to use any of them? I'm not sure which one actually came with the monitor.
- From what I can tell, all of the monitor power cables are exactly the same. I don't see any reason why they wouldn't work or why it would be unsafe. As long as it fits easily into the LCD and plugs into your power supply then it should be just fine. (P.S. I've used old power cables on newer models before when I lost a cable once)
- Q:I need a longer power cable for my xbox 360 dvd drive, can anyone tell me where I can find out on OKorder?Or what its called? I type in dvd drive power cables on OKorder, but only the short stock ones show up I need one with about 10 inches or so.Thanks! Can these be found in radioshack?
- try looking at a game store like Game Stop or check with the manufacturer
- Q:the light on the power cable box is orange when the xbox is turned on does this mean the cable is broke or the console? thanks
- you need to find out the error code and find a solution to it.
