Q: I have a light weight rug on top of a thick wall to wall carpet? I have tried to use padding made for this purpose but it does not work. The rug continues o bunch up and not lay flat.Thanks: Generally speaking, a light weight rug is not going to lay very flat on top of a THICKER carpet. You might try looking for a heavier weight rug in a similar style instead. Even if you use tape, I think it would still not look right. It would look kind of bumpy. Sisal rugs look nice over some carpets and they are heavy enough to lay flat.

Q: What color carpet is suitable to match on annatto floor?: My mother in the room is a khaki color, with blue rug, I feel good

Q: I need to patch a section of my carpet. The size I need to patch is 2 feet by 1 1/2 feet. I will be patching just a few inches from the wall/front door. Here's my questions:1. Will the patch job be noticeable at all or will it blend in to the other carpet? 2. Will the replaced carpet piece be loose or need stretched? 3. What if the carpet I am patching doesn't exactly match because my current carpet is used and the patch will be brand new? I've never done this before so any advice for a first timer would be awesome! Thanks!: 1. Yes, if your patch is new then it will be noticeable. 2. The replaced piece shouldn't be to loose if you cut it right. You can use some double sided tape to help hold it if you think you need it. 3. You can try shampooing your old carpet before doing the patch to help it blend better. If you want to try something different. Take a few pieces of varying colors to your existing carpet and make it look like a custom patchwork carpet throughout the entry way. Ex: If your current carpet is dark blue you could use several shades of blue or burgundy to spruce it up a bit. When you get tired of that look - just change the squares.

Q: I had my boss come over for dinner last night and his 15 year olD pooped on my rug and it stinks how can i get the stain out: try some diaper soaker .first try iit onsome part oof the rug that can't be seen in case it takes the colour of the rug out .then use it carefully ,not too much soaker.about half a cup in a litre of water get as much of the poop off as you can before you start then gently drawing the stain to the center from each side dab on the diaper soaker. you will need to put the soaker in some warm water. when you think you have got it cleaned up get a micro cotton towel and put it over the stain and stand on it .this will soak up most of the water .you may have to repeat this to get it all out .

Q: So I have this cheap $20 rug from walmart thats teal. I did away with it for a while but now that I want my room redone, I want a black rug to go in front of a futon. How would I go about dyeing this rug instead of buying a new one and leaving this one to collect dust? It has a plastic wired bottom to hold the rug together and to act slip resistant. Would dyeing it affect it?: Whether dyeing would work depends on what fibre it's made of. If it's wool or cotton, it would dye quite well with ordinary dyes, though it might present a few difficulties since dyes usually call for being heated, and a lot of rinsing after. If it's a synthetic fibre, which it very likely is, it might not dye at all because synthetics don't absorb dye very well, if at all. If they do, they usually require processes that would be very difficult to achieve with a rug, such as heating the dye bath with the item in it. All in all, it's probably not worth even trying. Find a cheap black rug to buy.

Q: i cant seem to find a message board on OKorder, so i decided to ask here and hopelfully some helpful people. now i'm looking for the LARGEST area rug on OKorder. i looked, but the one i'm looking may not me the largest one. please help, it's for my living which is also large. thanks :): Rugs can look fine on carpet. However, if you have a piece of heavy furniture on top of your rug, your rug will probably look bumpy. If you put your rug only on the carpet without furniture on top then the rug should look just fine.
