- Q: My sisters cat which we had for about 9 months, unexpectedly urinated on our carpet, twice. Is there a reason for this? Our cat knows where the litter is, so why urinate on the carpet?
- If it only happened twice and is now not a problem it may have been a passing medical concern - upset stomach/nerves, whatever. If it is a continuing concern, it too, may be a medical concern. The cat may have a urinary tract infection. These are very painful for the cat and need attention from your vet yesterday. If the cat comes home with a clean bill of health and continues to use the carpet it may be an emotional problem. The cat box may not be to her liking (even if she previously used it without incident). Have you changed the type of litter? Have you added a top to the box that wasn't previously there? Is there something sitting next to the box that wasn't there before? Have you changed the location of the box? Not that she would forget where the box is, but that she doesn't like the type/amount of privacy available. Our cat was afraid of the new cat. The cats had decided among themselves that one would be upstairs and one would be downstairs. Well, the potty box was downstairs. The downstairs cat lorded it over the upstairs cat. The upstairs cat now has her own box (which everyone uses now) upstairs. No more capet issues.
- Q: whats the difference between the two? i've done latch hooking but im wondering if rug hooking is the same thing or close?
- 2 differences, first you don't get precut yarn with rug hooking, you use a skein or ball of yarn, starting from the back with your hook on the top, pull the yarn through, making a continuous line. 2nd the hook in rug hooking does not have the latch over the hooky part. I did quite a few latch hook projects and tons of fun. I just recently learned rug hooking while on vacation. At first it is a little harder, getting a even tension and so that the pile of yarn on the top is all even and not splitting the yarn. - Hi there! Three are 3 ways I know of and they're all pretty easy and relatively inexpensive... -Double sided tape -Velcro tape -A rug pad (may or may not need double-sided tape to get the rug to stick to the pad) Good luck!
- Q: I just moved into a 1st floor/basement apartment. Its currently has tile floors wich are nice but are extremely cold to walk on in the winter. I was thinking about putting carpet down until I stumbled across carpet tiles in home depot. Since im renting I dont want to damage the current ceramic tile floor, should I lay down regular carpet or use carpet tiles? I don't care about grout lines and i dont want anything glued to the floor. It doesnt need to be the best job I will more then likely do it myself. If I lay regular carpet do I need padding? Or if I use carpet tiles, what kind of barrier should I have between the current floor and the carpet to proctect the ceramic tiles?
- Before you buy anything.....ask your manager/landlord FIRST. If they are ceramic floors - then YOU can NOT glue anything to them. You will probably only be able to buy area rugs.

- I'm pretty certain that there is no way to reverse bleach stains. He should NOT have used bleach on carpet! there are safe carpet cleaners out there! Your just going to have to put a rug over that section or a piece of furniture... good luck!
