- Q: a 950 kg elevator car is lifted by an upward force of 11,200. What is the net force on the elevator car?what is the acceleration of the elevator car?how long before it reaches a speed of 18.0 m/s? what is its height above the ground floor at this time?
- the brake pads could just be worn and need to be replaced. try those before changing the entire rotor. good luck. go american cars!!
- Q: I‘m trying to find a kayak rack where one person can lift their large 2 person kayak onto their car and lower it very easily. Is there such a thing? This is specifically for a toyota camry. Thanks!
- Go to a body shop. Have them install a roller assembly across the back of the car roof. Install a fixed rack forward of the roller. You may not have to do this but you will need to pad the roof. Drag the kayak to the back of the car. Lift the end near the car to the roller. Lift the other end and slide the kayak forward. Flip it over. Secure it with bow and stern lines fastened to the front and rear bumpers. Use a rope or strap to secure the kayak amidships to the roof or through the windows. Lifting effort will be one half the weight of the kayak.I have seen small females do this time and time again. If your partner is present lifting together will only require 25% of the kayak weight.
- Q: I currently have a 110cc atv (all terrain vehicle) and i want to know weather i can lift the body of it like it is done in the carsdo we have to take it to a mechanic or add a new body and if it is possible let me know
- check your brake fluid (in the master cylinder), it is also possible that there is an air bubble in the brake lines. get a manual for the car, bleed the brakes to get an air bubble out, or look for leaks in the brake lines.
- Q: give parts name.
- The answer to your question is not simple, you asked a broad question. Depending on what you plan on lifting, ATV's, cars, trucks, or tractor trailers this will determine what you need to lift it. If you are planning on lifting cars, then you will need two hydraulic pistons rated at, at least 1.5 - 2 tons. You would make a simpler scissor lift. But to make a traditional lift, you will need very large (tall) hydrualic pistons have approximately a 5-6' range to lift the car up enough. Also, you will need hydraulic pumps and fluid that can support the kind of load needed for these pistons. Then you will need to make a housing to encase this all in and you will need to make a lift arm mechanism. This will need to be very strong, high carbon steel since it will act as a cantilever beam. 4 arms need to be made that swivel out to support the car. I've listed a couple sites below that show them, the scissor lift would be easier to make but not as useful since the car's tires actually ride on them and usually to do any kind of maintenance, the tires need to be removed for doing the brakes, struts etc. You can buy a whole lift kit for only $1375.00. You might want to think about just buying one instead of making one.
- Q: Question partPointsSubmissions1 2 30/1 0/1 0/10/5 0/5 0/5Total0/3 In a hydraulic lift, the radii of the pistons are 2.04 cm and 9.8 cm. A car weighing W 11.5 kN is to be lifted by the force of the large piston.(a) What force Fa must be applied to the small piston? (N)(b) When the small piston is pushed in by 8.6 cm, how far is the car lifted? (mm)(c) Find the mechanical advantage of the lift, which is the ratio W / Fa.
- There are flapping wing type aircraft, they are called Ornithopters. I Dont know if any full scale ones have been sucsessfully flown but there are loads of model size ornithopters available. not sure they use hydraulics for the flapping motion either.
- Q: What type of lift is good for car maintenance and repair?
- Basically are two-column lift
- Q: My car was sagging every morning when I went to get in it, but would lift up once I started it and drove for awhile. I Determined that the factory air springs were worn. Ordered new air spring bags, drove home from mechanic everything seemed great. Once I got home and was there an hour, I came out and the car was sagging on the tires again. I started it and it lifted again, but once I let it sit the rear sagged againhelp
- Take your car back to your mechanic ASAP and tell him the problem has not been fixed. There's really no point in racking your brain trying to fix what your mechanic should have fixed. In all fairness, this could have just been an honest mistake or oversight on the part of your mechanic so give him a chance to fix his mistake. If he can't fix the problem I suggest that you find a new mechanic.
- Q: so I left some force factor nitric oxide in the car all summer long. are they damaged? will they still be beneficial?
- I'll answer the same as last time you asked a little while ago. Contaminated with what? Water, ATF, soda, piss, what? Flush and fill and bleed.
- Q: will they rub or do i have to lift the car
- The correct position, known as the ready position is as follows: -left foot on ground; -right foot holding rear brake -both hands on grips, not covering levers; -head up, eyes scanning. The one foot technique is precisely what we teach--to riders of all levels.
