- Yes it is okay but may not always be considered the best approach by some codes. Until recently, every house I have lived in had a gas water heater and gas furnace. Both were always connected to the gas line by a flexible copper line. We never had any leaks or other problems with these connections. In recent times because of cheap Chinese stainless steel, you see more connections being made with flexible stainless steel. The odorants in natural gas and propane are not of sufficient concentration to cause copper to fail. They can discolor the surface but that is all.

- Your car is designed to be lifted as you have explained. The suspension does have give, and is designed to drop from not having any weight on the axles. However, your 20 inch wheels are not doing your bearings, axles, or your brakes any favors. You should expect these items, including suspension parts to wear faster with these larger than factory wheels on your car. You can safely go to 17 inches, and expect less wear on it's components will last longer. If you decide to leave those 20's on there just be careful, and check the balljoints and other compnents more frequently. Just to be on the safe side.
