Q: I stay in Gainesville,Tx and I was wondering if there was any places in Denton or Lewisville that does the suspension lift
Dallas will do it for you. Denton they're arent many car shops. You can do it yourself. There are two kinds, A body lift and a suspension lift. A body lift is simple, Just lift the car up place the raisers and put it down. You just need some strong friends of yours. The suspension lift is better to do in a shop. I'd go with the suspension since with a body lift you'll get alot more movement in the cabin since its not really on the chassis anymore.
Q: Two-column lift machine falls on its own
The first cylinder leaks
Q: A hydraulic lift is lifting a car that weighs 14 kN. The area of the piston supporting the car is A, the area of the other piston is a, and the ratio A/a is 100.3. How far must the small piston be pushed down to raise the car a distance of 1.7 cm?
Vapor XXXX best skates ever they fit great and they are durable Stick Warrior Mac Daddy I have had it for 3 years and still works great
Q: i need a lift for my car so i can put 22 inch wheels on it. Please help thanks
That is the dumbest thing I ever heard of and I promise you you will destroy your car by attempting to do this! It will look dumb and it will throw off the gear ratio's, making the speedometer read way too low and the gas mileage will suck, it will have no power and if it has a auto tranny it will probably burn that up pretty quick because it will work very hard to get the car to speed and cause it to over heat, also the lift (if you can even get one) would cause your drive shafts to run at too much of an angle and wear out the CV joints. Also the car won't handle very good all jacked up and good luck ever selling it because no one will want it. If you are really bent on the big wheels you can probably fit an 18inch rim on the car with a low profile tire like a 45 and then it will be the same height as the old tires so it won't need a lift and the gear ratio will remain the same. You need to go to the tire shop and find out what sized tire will equal the same height as the original tires. Good luck I hope I have helped
Q: Question partPointsSubmissions1 2 30/1 0/1 0/10/5 0/5 0/5Total0/3 In a hydraulic lift, the radii of the pistons are 2.04 cm and 9.8 cm. A car weighing W 11.5 kN is to be lifted by the force of the large piston.(a) What force Fa must be applied to the small piston? (N)(b) When the small piston is pushed in by 8.6 cm, how far is the car lifted? (mm)(c) Find the mechanical advantage of the lift, which is the ratio W / Fa.
To add to what autotech said, your crankarm is the problem can easily be repaired if it's not worn too much. It's only a small assembly about 4-5 inches long. I've fixed mine in about 2 minutes. If you remove the cowl over the wiper motor assem., you can watch the crank arm make its rotation around slide up over a small metal ramp. When you shut your wipers off it should stop there but it doesn't because this tab is bent out (towards the passenger side) I've used a flat screwdriver a hammer to tap it back in place. If it's not wore too much it's an easy cheap fix.
Q: Might be a silly question but still thought would ask By upward lift I mean, the car just glides on the road at about 1-2 inches when travelling at speeds of over 80-90 miles per hour How much will be the impact on stbility of the car? Is it impossible to design such cars ?
Lift would take away traction and handling. That is exactly opposite of what you want. You need the contact patch of the tires (for traction widerbetter) If you look at any performance car including racing, they are looking for down force at high speeds. Lift without large stabilizing wings like an airplane would result in complete lack of control. Passenger cars from the early sixties experienced this when the speed began increasing, weight decreased and aerodynamics had not been fully explored for cars. This is where spoilers came in. Great thought but the world is still not ready for flying cars!
Q: It doesn‘t come with a jack and does anyone know the best place to put it when I need to lift the car?
Most cars come with something called scissor jacks. Just make sure you get something that is high and strong enough to lift a CRV, since it has higher clearance than a normal car. Other types are Bottle jacks or Trolley jacks, they are bulkier and heavier, and you dont want to carry those in your car all the time. You can buy them at any automotive parts store, even at walmart. You can also try OKorder or amazon and get the stock jack for that specific car. From the manual: It is pointed to by an arrow molded into the underside of the body. Place the jack under the jacking point. Turn the end bracket clockwise until the top of the jack contacts the jacking point. Make sure the jacking point tab is resting in the jack notch.
Q: I wanna know what cars that you guys owned trough your life. Sport cars? Classic vintage cars? :-))Best answer for best story!
Drinking curfew/bars closing is 2am in AZ, if you are going for a day trip it's awesome to see the history of the true Wild West. I wouldn't recommend living there, Tucson, a local city is pretty cool but has a big college crowd, lots of bars!
Q: Whats that thing called that u see on the bottom of the front bumper of race and drift cars. Its some kind of bumper cover support mechanism, it‘s held up by one or more small hinged poles on each side of the bumper.
If you are talking about the little spoiler at the bottom of the bumpers that are held on by dampers, that are usually made of carbon fiber, its called a Wind-splitter. its main use is aerodynamics.
