- Q: Where on my car to lift from with my jack?
- Lift the front first from the middle of the vehicle as high as possible and put the jack stands on the frame rail, the go to the rear and do the same.
- Q: ok I‘m getting a new car but I don‘t kow if I should get a 2001 Impala with 126,000 miles on it and it needs few tires but it‘s only 5,000! or a 2002 with low miles new tires and it cost 8,000. I really think I should get the cheaper one cause people tell me it‘s a really good deal! what do you think???
- Get a quote on each one of them and find out exactly what the price is, then decide which is best Here's a good tool to check many prices using little time: comparecheap-motoring-insurance.i. and this is just as good: comparecheap-motoring-insurance.i. It won't cost anything to do, just take your time and it'll bring you some tangible results, soon you'll know exactly where you stand! Getting quotes is free, it just takes a little time. hope I helped, drive safe.RE: New car!?!?!? ok I's a really good deal! what do you think??
- Q: My dad‘s 1999 Nissan Maxima got some problem. It ran fine this morning. But when my dad started the car in the evening the steering wheel acts weird. The steering wheel gets turned to the right by force and when I tried to turn it back I hear a little screech from the right front wheel and feels like something is pulling it the opposite way. That was on parking position. When on reverse the become more normal but need to use some force to turn the wheel back to the correct position. Any idea on what‘s going on?
- Check your power steering belt, without it you lose all assisted steering. If the belt is in place and the fluid level is good you may have a bad steering pump.
- Q: please HELP. how to change my car tire?
- ok. I probably shouldn't have been rude so I changed my answer. Previous person answered correctly, but I would be concerned about you doing this if you don't have a clue how to do it because jacking a car up is pretty dangerous. Definitelly use your parking brakes before you jack it up. I assume the new tire is already mounted on a wheel. Otherwise you would have to take the old wheel off, and take it and the new tire to a tire shop for them to mount the tire on the wheel for you. It's not something you can do easily by yourself.
- Q: I'm going to be installing stuff that would make it so much easier if I had elbow room when I'm underneath my car.I've gave it some thought.. for example, a car on four jack stands doesn't quite cut it for me. I have a garage with flat cement flooring but still seems way too dangerous. Is there a way of doing this with everyday tools/objects? Is there a device that I can buy?
- Four jack stands is actually the way to go if you don't have access to other lifting capability. Lift one corner at a time using a floor jack, blocking the other end of the car. If you have a front wheel drive car, start with the rear end, if you have a real wheel drive car, start at the front. Place the jackstands on the axles, or if you have independent suspension, place the jackstands on the frame. Once all four wheels are off the ground, you may want to add another layer of safety by putting something else under the car to catch it if it slips off a jackstand.
- Q: I have a 2001 Dodge Neon SE that I bought a month ago and for some reason the last owner lowered the car and it hits at every speed bump so I want to know what I can do to lift it up
- You First need to Find out what the previous owner did to lower it. Then you need to replace the lowering equipment that that the previous owner installed with stock replacements. Its probably going to be pretty expensive to reverse the lowering.
- Q: I dont really know much about cars or trucks but im pretty technological savy. I can follow instructions n use basic tools, will i be able to install a lift kit?
- Lift kits aren't to hard to do depending on the make and model. A few things to keep in mind. Depending on how much the lift is, you may have to get longer suspension parts(ie. A arms, shocks, axels, driveshaft, etc.) When doing the rear end lift, make sure you line up the whole rear end properly while tightening the u bolts or it will dog walk when you drive. Also, it may have to have a complete alignment because your camber and caster will be affected.
- Q: Lifting machine hydraulic pump work but not oil how to do? Would it be good to open in the assembly is not on the oil how to do?
- There may be gas inside the pipeline, venting try.
- Q: Gas shock absorber on the lift need to pay attention to what
- If there is a lift mode need to adjust the lift mode, try not to name the car! Hope to help you
