Q: Just a little cusrious bcuz someday I would love to build an exotic car twin turbochraged or superchaged exceeding 1500whp with twin intake manifold with NOS
Any chance there may be some wax on the windshield from a recent detailing?
Q: I recently had my oil change done about 2 weeks ago. From yesterday my car running great to waking up this morning and my car boggling to turn on with a few sensors on my dashboard. The sensors say, brake, it shoes a car lifted, it also shows engine service soon and a triangle with an arrow around it. What can be the problem?
triangle is the ASC, automatic stability control. it shoes a car lifted ??? ya lost me on that grammar. $3,000 should cover everything, brake pads, brake pad sensors, a MAF sensor, a couple of computers, and maybe a wheel speed sensor or two. Change that make that $5000 if you take it to the stealership.
Q: I am still trying to find the best value in a car lift. My garage is crowed with three cars and a wood working shop. I want to put a car in the air so that I can get it out of the way and work on them easier. There are a lot of hobby lifts out there but some are not worth the effort. "Back Yard Buddy" seems to be the best but it is also expensive. Any Suggestions are highly being appreciated. Thanks
www.okorder / I've had very good luck dealing with them.
Q: I own a 2000 Honda Accord. When I bought it (used), it came with 20 inch rims that I really love. The issue I have with them though is that sometimes when I make turns or have many people with me and a lot of added weight, the tire touches the car and sort of grinds. This is obviously not a good thing for my tires. I was wondering if anyone could give me some advise as to how I can lift the car a bit. I have looked up some car lift parts but have no idea how they work or how to choose the right one to raise my car about 1 to 2 inches. Thanks you for the help in advance!
My suggestion is if you can bend the fender a little bit then you can get rid of this problem.
Q: I not an expert on arrow dynamics, but I really want to know if you put a wing on your car, will say mounted centered on your cars balance point. Lets say this wing wasn‘t like those ricers trying to produce down force so there civic doesn‘t fly off the highway, but a wing that produced lift, this could improve the gas mileage of your car. I‘m thinking it could even be mechanical in some way providing various amounts of lift, but on the highway you could make a 3000lb car drive like it was 2000lbs. That‘s a big *** difference, i just don‘t know how crazy drag would be on the wing itself, but I was just reading about something called the tube plane, a large percentage of its lift was created with the main body of the plane, technology is a far larger market than oil, driving around in vehicles shaped like bricks isn‘t helping MPG‘s. Any comments
Wow. I never thought about it but I personally would not try it cause I like to drive 100+ mph and I may get lift off. I would think if you wanted to save on gas you would get a smart car or hybrid or something like that.
Q: I am around 3-4k upside down on my vehicle. I have 4 years left on the loan. Should I sell and pay off the negative equity or should I keep the vehicle for the remainder of the loan and put that 3-4k towards the principal and cut 1.5 years off the loan payment?
Keep in mind. It's a really bad time to sell a car - with the crappy economy no ones buying (except for hybrids.) And dealerships are giving close to nothing on trade ins. Also depends on what kind of car you have, Toyota's and Honda's will keep their value. most others, will greatly depreicate esp. the SUV's and other gas guzzlers. I know it sucks, but I would wait a few more years to sell. or if you can (as suggested), put the 3-4k towards the principal and cut 1.5 years off the loan payment. You'll end up saving money (interest is the killer) and you will payment free sooner :)
Q: ok, i have a 2000 Hyundai Tiburon. I don‘t know much about cars so I cant use the best terminology, but hang with me. The problem is on the front passenger side of the vehicle. The bearing about the spring doesn‘t lock in. Like when you open the hood, you know how you can see the 2 spots where the front struts come through and lock in? We‘ll on the one side, when we lift the car up, it falls right through. I had someone try to work on it, but it ended up being worse. When it gets to 60mph the car shakes like crazy. Now is this just an alignment problem or do i need to get anything replaced? please help!
i had SOMEONE try to work on it Well duh huh,,try a mechanic before you kill yourself,,or worse someone else.
Q: I want to lift my car one inch (front back). What do I need to have done to my car for the lift?
On a 1 Lift, there shouldnt have to be many changes. The best way to go about this would probably be a body lift, because this only raises up the car itself, not the frame too. Lifting the frame means all new suspension, and gets expensive fast. A body lift will come with a few simple spacers that go between your body and frame, and just replace the original mounts. You can find most kits for just a few hundred bucks, and they are very safe and reliable. Hope this helps!
