- you could use bleach but that would just stain the rug. if the spot has dried,wet the spot slightly then pour some bicarbonate of soda down.leave for a while (over night or a few hrs) that will draw the smell out. brush the soda of once you've left it for a while. then clean it with a anti bac carpet cleaner and pat dry.if its small enough you could put it in the washing machine. if the smell is still lingering coffee is good for removing smells. put in down dry on dry fabrics leave again for a while then hover off,you might have to do this a few times,but it should work! hope that helps xxxx

- I used to make my own hooked rugs...just cut a patch of canvas the approx. size of that damaged area and incorporate the patch into the rest of your wool pattern...you could thread some thread first so it will stay in place as you are hooking the rug...Since it's a random pattern it will not be noticed (only from underneath) Right?

- I would try ice to free it and then pick out the clumps then go to home depot or walmart and get OPPS it's in the paint department at walmart the liquid not spray kinda let it soak in for a while and then scrub your carpet with HOT water it should take care of it. It took candle wax out of mine. I own apartments and it usually costs about $500 a unit to purchase and install that is a one bed room and I don't know my size compared to yours. If it comes to the point you need to replace it you should notify your landlord and make sure he approves it so you don't end up putting carpet in and paying him. Some landloards are shady I personally would be thrilled I didn't have to worry about it. But I bet if you do the opps you'll be ok UPDATE do NOT use an iron because to get the heat high enough to warm it you will BURN the carpet
