Q: Hello, My dog chewed my carpet in my apartment in a few places. I dont think it needs completely replaced but I want to pass the inspection when I move. It is quite obvious in a couple of places and we just dont want to be held liable for whole apartment replacement. Can someone give me an idea how to make it passable again?: I like the idea of taking it from a closet. Just want to forewarn you that the pet deposit is likely not going to be returned to you. And, if it were my carpet your pet ruined/damaged, I'd likely ask for it to be replaced- same condition as when you moved in- with normal wear and tear. I think puppy is going to cost you a bit for this chewing.

Q: I just bought a wool area rug (2' x 3'). It doesn't look good where I wanted to put it. Could I put it in a small powder room? Also, would it look good to use a large wool area rug over burbur carpet?: The layered look is in, so go ahead.

Goo Gone is oil based and won't mix with water.

Q: what harm does inferior carpet do to people?: the ingredient of glue of inferior carpets contains excessive formaldehyde, so it will affect human being's health a lot. you'd better buy better quality carpet.

Q: I have dark brown (medium chocolate, I'd call it) warm modern style leather sofa and love seat in a white room with 10 foot ceilings (I can't paint). The floors are oak, as is one book case (modern lines, arts and crafts style detail). The feet of the sofa are a dark walnut color. The accent pieces in the room will be yellow hues (artwork, vase, throw pillows). What sort of area rug should I get? Colors, patterns? Links to examples would be awesome. I'm getting more furniture, but I think the rug could really warm up the room. I'm concerned about getting something that looks too country or contemporary against the modern lines of the furniture.: those are the colors in my living room. I bought a really cool rug in Victorian red. It dosnt shout. but gives the room unique style. and it is aw some! red would warm of the room also without being over powering ! Q: How do you remove paint from carpet?? It's a reasonably large spot of bright blue paint on cream carpet :S And it's been there for a while too... Any suggestions would be great!: use a product called FOLEX available at larger grocerys to break down the paint that is in the carpet pad. Soak thourghly and scrub with a clean stiff plastic brush until color is gone. If color remains, dampen a towel, place on stain, put a WARM (not hot) iron and transfer the stain into the towel. let completely dry (about two hours) then vacumn with a good carpet vacum. repeat if necessary...good luck.....
