Q: We have a fairly large area rug in our living room but over time it has become wrinkled. I don't want to buy a new one yet, so how can we get it to lay flat against the carpet and not bunch up with stubborn wrinkles anymore?
Wet it and hang it outside to dry, using clothes pins directly on two corners, or completely flat against a fence.
Q: I found a bath rug that is the perfect color for my kitchen but I don't know if it matters that it is a bath rug or not. What is the difference? And would it matter if it was in the kitchen?
Most rugs which are designed especially for use in the bathroom are quite plain, and are either made of cotton or chenille. The reason for this is that these types of rugs are far less susceptible to water damage than something like wool, and are more suitable for use in a bathroom. * Quality. A good quality rug will have strong edges that can withstand the high traffic area that is your kitchen. Kitchen rugs go through quite a bit even on a daily basis and the edges tend to get the brunt of everything. Kitchen area rugs that are made with quality in mind will have strong edges that will be resistant to fraying. Hope that helps you , Good luck.
Q: we are moving out of our apartment and need to have the carpet cleaned. Has anyone rented a rug doctor? Was it easy to use? work well? Or should I just hire a carpet cleaning company to do it?It was like a $70 difference in price. Trying to save money where we can. Thanks!
Rug Doctor works great if you have a good strong person to get it from the place you rent it to your home and back again. Any more I prefer hiring a cleaning company that extracts the dirty water. Your carpet is almost dry when they get done and the carpet stays cleaner longer.
Q: its dark shade a little u can notice when theirs a bright light. I had it for weeks now. It faded away a little. its not a scar. it looks like skin repair. red blood vessel whatever. i dnt know. How long and what is it? is it like a long time bruise.
if its red-ish brown-ish, its not a bruise if it doesnt hurt. its like a scar n itll go away after a few months or half a year it happens to me alot.
Q: They prefer dry food to wet. I am feeding them IAMS kitten food....I have washed the throw rugs but what is best to use on the carpet and how do i keep them from peeing again? They were just at the Animal Coaltion in June...and were pronounced healthy....
To clean the carpets, you'll have to use a steam cleaning machine. I would also suggest using cat NO! on the area - once it's marked, no matter how much you clean it - they will come back....using the cat NO! will assist in keeping the cat away. Are you cleaning out your litterbox daily, and adding new litter to replace the old? Is there enough litter in there? There should be 3-4 inches. Do you have enough litterboxes if you have more than one cat? Ideally you should have 1 box per cat, and if you live in a multistory - one box minimum on each floor (including a basement). If you are putting in any additives, make sure they don't have a smell - what smells good to us, may be offensive to a cat. And finally, do not put your litterbox near the cats food - would you want to eat in a smelly bathroom? The only other reason for a cat to spray is it's un-neutered, or it's feeling stressed or anxious, or there is a health issue.
Q: I'll need to get about 1200 sq. ft. of carpet. I'm not planning on getting the cheapest, but close to it. How much will the carpet cost? installation?
Through Home Depo I got mixed rating carpet for 1200 sq ft. In my office and bedroom i got non matting, heavy traffic, about $2.50 q ft. In my guest room and rental room i got a lower grade but with scotch guard for about 1.50 q ft. With installation it was roughly $2000.00. I would call around, sometimes companies have discounts or sales, half off.
Q: My 2yr old spilled ALOT of syrup on our large area rug...I tried HOT water, blotting the area, scrubbing the area and carpet cleaning solutions....any suggestions? Rug still extremely sticky when we step on the areas where the syrup is soaked in.
I had this happen to our large area rug and I used our wet/dry Vacuum. If you don't have one you can borrow one from a friend or next door neighbor. Very handy to own. I made a very soapy hot water mix and kept wetting the syrup areas and then vacuuming the soapy water up and repeating. The hot water and soap worked well but on several really bad spots I used dishwasher liquid which broke down the syrup and made the cleanup much easier. I think I vacuumed the rug three times and now the rug looks new and the syrup is completely removed. The shop Vac wet and dry vacuum works great at removing spilled plates of food and especially syrup. Our children had a small party and we had a real mess until I thought about cleaning the rug with mu Shop Vac. Work great. Try this I think you will soon have a new looking area rug, with any syrup. They are having a sale on them at Home Depot for $49.00
Q: What material is used for the automobile carpet
Generally, ordinary cars use polyester PET carpets, luxury cars use nylon PA carpets, which is only the surface layer. There are several layers of car carpet, the most simple carpet is backing gum carpet PET plus glue, there sre many complex car shaped carpets, some have fabric bottom lining, others have smooth long pull short colonization PU foam and so on to help recover popcorn
Q: How to solve the carpet tide odor?
In fact, the carpet in the process of using, and has certain adsorption ability, so put the carpet in the living room and other places, plus some added in the humidifier humidifier, and odor removal agent disinfection and sterilization class or baking soda, by spraying humidifier gasification deodorant can achieve the purpose of removing odor. There are many ways to clean carpet smell, but at the same time, we should pay attention to cleaning carpet.
Q: What size coffee table carpet is in general?
6x2, 1.4x2, the size of the space before the sofa determines the size of the carpet, 1.8x1.3.5 or so, 1.9x1.2 can choose 0.2X3m and 1.8x2 the size of carpet under coffee table is generally according to coffee table's standard. 2 can choose 1. If you want to put a table and 2x2m table, the price is slightly higher. if 2m's table is 1, 2x1 can be customized, just as the main reference system.5x1 sofa tea table, 1.8, about 1.2x1.5.2m if it is 0, the common size is 1.7.8.7x1, but the small size of the finished product
