Q:I was driving today to work in some snow. After switching highway lanes a couple times (which made me go over piles of snowat relatively high speed), the car started vibrating and humming, like if I was driving on really rough and hard terrain. And the service vehicle light came on. After a couple minutes though it became normal again. I stopped and restarted the car but after a few minutes the service light came on again but car seems to drive fine. Although after that I did get ABS light come on as well as trac off (traction control off?) And now the service light comes on everytime I start the car and switch to D. Although no ABS light anymore. Furthermore a couple minutes after I turned off the car I could hear some weird bubble sound like if air bubbles were coming underneath liquid to the top What‘s wrong with the car most likely? And what is that liquid sound?It‘s 2000 pontiac grand am 3.4L with 140k miles.: Go to a car wash with a can of GUNK. wash your engine compartment, and all your wheels and brakes. Also wash your front drive axles. Snow may have collected and hardened on any of these surfaces. ALSO, find an auto car wash that has high pressure spray to wash the underside of your car. Your converter may have collected an amount of snow on it that keeps it holding in too much heat. Since your ABS light is coming on, I would focus your attention to the acccumulation of snow and road debris on your brakes. The liquid noise might indicate that your cooling system requires attention and servicing. GM coolant only lasts for 50,000 miles safely before it begins to deteriorate and cause trouble. Q:I have an 07 Altima 3.5SE sedan...I've been noticing when the auto-light feature is turned on, and the vehicle is just turned off, the headlights are on for an excessive period of time.: I have the same car. Mine has the Nav system. I can't recall the exact steps, but if you play around with settings through display you can adjust it down or make it turn off when you turn off the car. Mine is set for 15 seconds I believe. Kinda nice when you come into a dark garage at night to have the lights stay on until you find the door to the house.

Q:I have a 2005 colorado. It just went off the 3 year warranty but has less than 36000 miles. The check engine light came on . The truck runs great. I took it to Advanced Auto parts and the did a check on the computer and said it was the emission system. Has any body had this problem? What about warranty? Q:I drive a Auto 02 corolla with 120,000 miles. when the check engine light came on back in may, friend drove it to the shop for 2 days to fix. After i got it back i was told the exhaust pipe needs to be replaced(or something with the exhaust system i wasn‘t there) so the CEL dissapeared for a week then came back on, i been driving it with the CEL on since may, it makes very loud noise when i step on the gas pedal. should i keep driving it? it doesnt affect the engine right? Thanks: I would have it scanned with an ODB II code reader. It will tell you the problem. A hole in your exhaust can let cold air into your head and warp a valve.

Q:i have a ford galaxy 1999 glx 2.3 petrol car and the abs light is staying on sometimes it goes off it went off yesterday and came bk on this morning i dunno what is happing with thiscan someone help me please thanks its been in the auto elecs yesterday and he checked all the wires and its all fine and before that it was in a garage for 2 weeks and there is nowt up with it.is had a new fan belt tensor and a air con compressor: The ABS light will come on when a fault is detected in any part of the ABS system. There are sensors on the wheels (usually part of the braking assembly) there is also a pump/motor/valve assembly and that is what pumps the brakes so you don't have to. The pump may have gone bad, you need to check the computer codes that have been stored. (this requires a code scanner) The brakes should continue to function just fine but you will have no ABS function until you fix the problem.

Q:ok so i have a 2005 chevy aveo basic model (automatic, no power windows or anything). the fuel pump went out and we just go tit replaced by a family friend who is a mechanic and long story short i just got it home and as i was driving it home the check engine light came on. i dont know if its just because of the new pump and i just need to give it some tine or what. the car runs strong and there is nothing else mechanically wrong with it. so is there a way to reset it or does anyone have any ideas? thanks in advance :): If you go to Autozone or Advanced Auto they will come out and scan it for free and tell you what the code is. Q:I just got a piece of **** car, and whenever i brake, or when i turn the left side blinker on, the taillight dims instead of getting brighter. Also, the left turn signal blinks slower than the right turn signal. Even on the dash, the little arrow blinks slower than on the right. I compared the actual bulb with the other, and its dimmer when lit. I JUST bought new bulbs twenty minutes ago, even the old bulbs did this. So i don‘t know if i have a short in the wire or what, i already looked back by the light and all the wires are old, but look fine. I don‘t know if somewhere inside the car frame something happened or up where they go to the battery, but the whole left side lighting system is screwed up. Any help before i call the auto shop?: If there was a short, it would blink faster because of more current passing through the flasher relay. Sounds like you have corrosion somewhere in the system, causing increased resistance. No choice but to start at the bulbs, and grounds, and clean every connection along the way.

Q:thinking of buying a 20 gauge semi auto but i have been hearing that they can have trouble with light loads , so what is the difference between a light load and a heavy load?: The difference between what are called light or heavy loads is mostly a combination of two things shot charge weight and velocity(sometimes expressed as dram equivalent). In the simplest description: standard target loads would be light 7/8oz shot with 2 1/2 dram equivalent(1,200feet per second) or any other at 1,165-1,210fps. the over 1 ounce weight and/or high velocity 2 3/4 loads would be heavy loads 1oz 2 3/4 dram for 1,220fps or 1 oz1,300fps Many older designs have a piston or buffer that can be flipped over or changed out to optimize operation with either category. Modern designs, especially gas operated models that can vent the excess gases from heavy loadings are able to cycle any load from target rounds up to the heaviest 3 magnum loadings without fail even when intermixed. However, all auto loading systems may still have issues with really mild loads such as Remington's Managed-Recoil line or similar loads.

Q:The trailer light cord has 4 wires, and my colorado truck has a separte wire for both brake and running, so can I just connect the tail wire from the trailer plug to both of them?: DO NOT wire the running lamp and brake lights together. It will blow one or both fuses and make the lights work improperly. Your trailer also has separate running lights and brake lights. One wire on the trailer plug is for ground. One wire is for running lamps. One wire is for left brake/turn signal lamp. Last wire is for right brake/turn signal lamp. Have someone whom you know that is good with car electrical wiring wire this up for you. Other wise yes the truck can handle the trailer lighting system just fine. P.S. You do need an adapter that you can buy from your local auto parts store. Match up the one that will fit the trailer plug and then follow its instructions to wire it up. If your trailer does not have a plug that connects to the truck then buy kit that will have both plugs (one for the trailer and one for the truck that connect together) and follow the instructions to wiring them up.
