Q: I am at 98,500 miles i just got an oil change and got new battery terminals and a battery cable put in my car because the previous terminals and cable were corroded. A day later i am driving and the check engine light comes up. I have never had any problem with my car and have always taken it to the dealer until just this past time and look what happens. I looked under the hood and i noticed the battery cable was not clipped and was able to roam freely which tells me they did a sloppy job! Q: I‘ve noticed in the last few days that my gears seem to be slipping. Not just one gear, but all of them. Sometimes they won‘t engage at all, and sometimes, I can get the car moving, and the transmission will slip out of gear while shifting to any further gears. It is an automatic transmission. Yesterday, I decided to go in and get my transmission flushed, but while I was driving in, the warning light came on saying there was a problem with the emissions system. I know in previous vehicles that my catalytic converter choked the engine when I needed to replace it, but I never seemed to have problems driving the vehicle. Any gear-heads out there that might be able to help me out?: modern auto trannys r controlled by computer.bad battery bad bat connection can fool computer into acting crazy. emission lite can be from bad spark plug/wire ,,oxygen sensor.all can effect tranny.that said.did the flush help?. i dont like flushes because they stir up crap in side and dont change the filter slipping sounds bad. iv had trannys go bad in 100,000 miles even changing fluid/filter at 40,000 and 75,000 miles.good luck

If one or more of the systems monitored by the computer in your vehicle are returning values beyond what the computer expects to see, and the check engine light is on as a result, go to the dealer or your mechanic providing he has the proper scanner to read the trouble codes in your vehicle. Read the codes that have turned on the check engine light, come back and post the code(s) you got and someone should be able to assist you. By the way, you can't tell if an O? sensor is bad by looking. And never never never attempt to reset a check engine light by disconnecting the battery. At best you will have to reset your clock and favorite radio stations, at worst the vehicle will refuse to start if the security system gets messed up, and you will then have the cost not only of that repair, but also the tow to the mechanic.

Also get a reflector. Use custom WB as advised above. Use sb-600 as a key light, use your continious sourses for baclground lighting and use the reflector to bounce some light back onto your subject and you got yourself a simple, but effective setup!

Try these things at home, then drive it to an auto parts store that does free charging system tests, but make sure the alternator belt is tight first.
