This Site Might Help You. RE: The Battery light came on in my car.? I usually have this little orange light that I can see under park reverse etc however since the battery light has came on, at night time I can not see this at all now. My lights work and everything else works however I'm worried because the battery light is staying on. Any help?
Q: Just curious. I see the auto flush toilets and urinals (red blinky light where the flush handle used to be) quite a bit nowadays. How does the auto flush mechanism get its power? Is there just a battery or two in there? I don‘t see any electric running to them.
The system is typically a low voltage about 12 volts ac, that runs the sensor and the flush solenoid. The wires are run in the decorative trim to a low voltage connection point much the same as a doorbell.
Q: I have a 2002 Pontiac Grand AM SE the car has 114,000 miles on it. I was recently driving home from work and my check engine light came on. After that the car started to idle real bad. I have to release my foot from the gas to shift gears and every time it shifts the RPM‘s go up real high and it‘s very hard to drive up hills the RPM‘s go real high. And recently my coolant light started coming on and i will fill the coolant up and the coolant ain‘t cheap lol and when i look in the reservoir the coolant is empty and the coolant light blinks on and off and the engine light comes on when the car get‘s warmed up and it still idles real rough and it takes long to shift idk what‘s going on someone please help me
When you get a new shirt, scotch guard it or use another of the fabric protectants.
Q: My A/C does not work when set to auto or manual. When I press the contactor switch in the A/C, everything turns on. I also cleaned the condensate pump/pan. What could could be stopping the contactor switch from turning on when I set the thermostat. Thanks
well call an A/C repair dont be a miser!
Q: I have a '07 Corolla CE. I have made no modifications to the original motor, transmission, etc. I have noticed that my heater is not nearly as strong as it was in the first few years of owning the car. Of the 4 available strengths that the heat blow normally the 1st one barely has any effect. Generally the 2nd is okay but not great. The only time it seems to be generally working okay is when I am on the highway and at a cruising speed of 60+mph. I have noticed the same thing in the summer when using my air conditioner though it seems to be even weaker. I usually have to use 3 if not the 4th highest setting of strength to get a comfortable feeling within the car. Though in the A/C's case it does seem that it is speed affected. What are the likely causes and fixes for this situation. If you happen to know what the price range of the fix would be as well it would be appreciated.
When only lower fan speeds are affected, but everything is fine on the highest setting, this is always a bad blower motor resistor. This is a low cost part, lookup online or call around for the best price. It is easy to get at and plug&play, a nice little DIY job. EDIT: A/C just works better at highway speed because more air is moving through front grill and the condenser. At a red light you must depend on a little radiator fan under the hood to remove heat from the refrigerant as it condenses. If at a red light you suddenly notice warm air from the vents or engine shuddering with the A/C on, then this indicates a problem with that fan or its circuit. If cold air returns when you speed up, it is definitely not low on r134-a, and adding more with a broken condenser fan will definitely damage the compressor.
Q: I have a 1996 Mazda Millennium that the battery would always go dead on me if it sat for a couple of days. Had battery checked and charged, and it checked good. So i changed the alternator and the light is still on. What do you think is wrong?
Check the Red Wire from the Alternator for the Fusable Link being bad, also Grounds at Starter to Block, Alternator to Block Block Strap to Firewall. Are your belts and Tensioner good?
Q: I have a 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix with a 3.6l v6. I‘ve had it for about 14 months now, and these past few weeks my light‘s come on for the Check ABS System and Check Traction Control. The brakes seem fine, no grinding, no noises. I heard somewhere that that type of car is notorious for the check abs system glitch. Does anyone think they know what it is, or have had a similar problem? I don‘t want to get taken advantage of if I have to take this into a mechanic.
buy a flowmaster, makes the car sound real fast n mean lol
Q: The check engine light has been on constantly since I bought the car, and I have been told by more than one person that it‘s just due to a catalytic converter sensor so I left it alone. Recently, I‘ve started getting low on oil, probably because my miles are so high (178K) and I‘m burning it, so I put oil in about once a week. Just this morning, after driving about 10 minutes, the check engine light started to blink and did so almost constantly during my remaining 15 minutes of driving. It felt like it just didn‘t want to go any faster. Once I got to my destination and the car was parked but still on, it felt like it was humming, or jerking or something. Once the car was off, something didn‘t smell right but I couldn‘t figure out the smell. No smoke was coming out of the back or front. I‘m worried about even driving to an Auto Zone or something similar without knowing the problem. Can anyone help??
they are caled idiot lights for a reason . it has a problem . an needs code read an diagnosed an repaired
Q: I got some ebay projector headlights for my camaro. I should of listened to the majority of people who say ebay projectors suck. They look nice.but I can‘t see much: the beam pattern is all spread out and strange, and doesn‘t extend far at all. Is there any way I can upgrade them so I can see more and farther? Should I aim them higher? Get better bulbs? Will improving the bulbs give me a more lit up area? Thanks for your help.
Not really. Before you get in trouble (what you've done is illegal), get back to the original halogens, which are the only legal solution. You may look for the new improved brightness bulbs from reputable manufacturers, just make sure they have the original power (60W main, 55W dipped), otherwise you may bake the headlamp protective cover and coating. Real industry-grade HIDs cost much more and require their projectors, auto leveling system and headlamp washer. In other words, they must be factory-installed.
Q: What are the car headlights?
