That's gonna cost you $$$ The modern ignition system was design to be smart and you should have the code scanned and READ the code to find the reason behind the Check Engine Light. Q: About two months ago, I replaced the spark plugs in my car. I did not go to a mechanic. I’ve since driven about 1,000 miles with no problem. The other day the “service engine soon” light came on and has not gone off. Most likely when they use the code reader on your car, a code will pop up, telling you why the light is coming on. Once you know why the light is coming on, you can correct the problem - which if you dont beleive the code result - may in fact be the sensor acting up. Good luck.

I have a 2005 Nissan Sentra.: alternator can be tested for free at most any auto parts store, in or out of the vehicle. battery as well. brakes, how did they feel? was it an ABS warning light or just a brake warning light? if they feel normal and it was just an ABS light, or an ABS light lit in addition to a seperate brake light, it might only be a ABS failure, meaning if you really step on the brakes the tires will lock and slide just like you didnt have ABS. brakes are the most important single system on a vehicle. nothing is worse then not being able to stop. having it towed instead of driving it ensures you dont get into a horrible accident if something bad is really wrong. after brakes, steering/suspension and tires are pretty much tied. good tires help you stop or steer quicker, good suspension/steering keeps the tires in good contact with the ground, helping you stop or steer, and pointing where you need them to go.
