- you could just have an injector going bad on it also,it should have clogged more than one injector up though on it,have someone run a compression check on it to verify the exact amount of compression that cylinder has on it,you could also have a cracked cap on it,if it was me id try replacing the cap and rotor and see if that helps it any.good luck,edit if it continues to flash on and off that indicate a problem with the converter on it,and it may do damage to the engine if you drive it like this,i seen a customer once that was so determined to get their injectors cleaned out that they ran three cans of cleaner through the system on less than half a tank of fuel and it damaged the converter on it,good luck
