Q: The light disappears spontaneously after 1 seconds. The car drives ok afterwards. The oil level looks fine on dipstick, and I have one bar left on the auto oil change indicator. This has been happening for the last 2-3 weeks. I recently had a dead battery, which is lt;1 yr old, and thought it might be a bad alternator. Q: My 2000 Saturn SL2 ABS and Brake light come on when I hit about 25 mph and before the abs light comes on when I hit the brakes the ABS engage like I‘m on ice. I changed both ABS sensors and checked the fuse, could it be the brake master cylinder? (the brake pedal is kind of spongy) I went to Auto Zone and they said their scanner only does check engine lights.: I had the same problem with my Ford F150 truck, ABS light came on and brakes would pump like on ice, but was on dry pavement . Problem was the ABS computer chip needed to be reprogramed, COST $380.00 I told them to disconect ABS chip,the brakes work like the old days. you have to pump on ice but I saved 380.00

Q: Hi, The front bumper on the Left side was loose so i Used some Cable Ties to tightened it, after tightening the Bumper, i realised the Airbag Light came on... Q: I have a 99 F150 and my ABS light is on so I took it to an auto repair shop, and they told me that I needed a new ABS system, about $1500.00 but he also said that they have stopped making them, so he was going to call around junk yards and see if any of them carry them, $600.00 Problem is do I really need the ABS. It seems to me that the truck is stopping just fine. Or is that just because they haven‘t fully gone yet. He said that people can drive years on the brakes without getting them repaired. What exactly is wrong with your Anti lock Brake System. ABS. Anything in particular. It can't need the entire system. Did this happen right after you had the brakes done the first time. Sounds like someone might have installed the replacement brakes improperly. Once again, this the same place that you had replace them 2 months ago. Anti-lock brake systems do help in panic situations, that what they are there for. Insurance companies usually offer you a discount for them as well ( how much I really don't know ). The question is, can you do without them. My answer which I'm sure some will disagree is, yes, you can. Just make sure someone will pass it through inspection for you. I doubt your state will with that light on. I happen to know someone quite well who has been driving for years without them and they pass each year.

Q: I bought a used 1999 Crown victoria from a dealership. it came with the blinking LED auto theft light, but it doesn't seem to work. does anyone know how i can get it to work? or where can i take it to get it re installed and get it back working again?: The light only blinks when the car is off. Q: I have a 2000 Ford Taurus SE Station Wagon. This is the families only car, and we have a infant in the house. We don‘t have money to go to a dealer or a shop to fix it. If you do go to the dealer they tell you like $600.00. The problem is that when my dad tries to start the car, the THEFT light keeps on flashing and won‘t let the car start. My dad has to turn the key back and forth and then after a couple of minutes(20-30 min) the theft light turns off and then the car starts. Q: At the suggestion of an Advanced Auto worked, I connected an orange wire (illumination wire) to an orange with white stripe wire. Now, every time I turn on my headlights the instrument panel doesn't light, my console lights do not dim as they usually do, and my backlights do not turn on. Disconnect what you connected and if you can get the aftermarket radio connected correctly, take it to an auto radio shop. BTW, colors on the wires of a car are mostly meaningless because each manufacturer uses different colors in their wiring.
