Q: I have been doing research online and have found replacement power cables from Kimber, Nordost, PS Audio, Cardas, Monster and Audioquest. While Kimber did win an award in Audiophile magazine, the write up for PS Audio's SC statement cable appears to be very good as well. Nordost makes a great product too, but have read some complaints that it actually cheats the bass. So I am basically looking to see if anyone owns any of the replacement cables from these companies or what they could recommend as a good replacement power cord.: This question does not make sense. Power cord for what equipment? Most audio and video equipment comes with the power cord attached or uses a standard 3 prong 110v power cable that you see on computers. A power cord should not affect quality. To improve quality, you should have a power conditioner or line conditioner to clean the power going to your equipment. Please elaborate on what you are trying to do.

Thanks!: All you need to do is pop down to your local computer store and get a power splitter, just make sure you get the right type, IDE and SATA drives have a different kind of power connector, so just make 100% sure before you buy!

Q: I have had to replace my Dell power cable a few times, got lucky the first few times with friends that had old ones they could give me, but this time I had to buy one and couldn't find a Dell brand cable (didn't bother me, they are terrible quality) Instead I found one on OKorder that named my model under the ones it would work for, and it got decent reviews.I got it a few days ago and has been working fine, but the other day when I turned it on it came up and said quot;A Dell power cord is not being recognized...and some other stuff. Q: HiIs it advisable to run 110VAC cable from the sub stationa and 110VAC cable from generator (clean) in the same conduit ; one of them for lighting and the other for CCTV; the concern is if the one for lighting is not clean (not consisting of a pure sine wave or carrying interference) would that effect the power line of the CCTV and has an effect on the picture? even though both are 110VAC.the installation is over seas where the power from the station is not consistence.: if all the wires are rated the same you won't have a problem, but make sure you don't share the neutral with both circuits or you could get some interference. Run separate neutrals for each circuit and make sure your CCTV is on a dedicated circuit

Q: It never occurred to me that the power cable -- the one connected from the outlet to the laptop's AC brick -- is rated at quot;125V - 7Aquot;. Does that mean it won't be able to handle the 240V in some countries? The brick itself is rated 100V - 240V, so it can be used internationally. In fact, I spent a year in France, where I used my Dell Inspiron just fine (with a prong adapter so it'll fit into the socket). The reason why I'm paying attention to the power cable is because the cable for my Nikon D80 battery charger has a quot;USsticker on it. The charger itself can handle 240V, but does this mean the cable cannot?: read the stuff on the adapter. if it says 120-240 then you can use internationally. if not you CAN'T use it. you have to get a transformer then which will convert electric to 120.

Q: on a 600 watt amp will it blow my amp?: A bigger cable isnt going to make ur amp blow. A cable doesnt push the power, all it does is provide a way for your amp to pull the current. The bigger the better though, it creates less resistance, and less resistance = higher voltage = higher wattage.

Commonly, the screen will blank a moment. it's normal. the setting can be found in Control Panel, Power Option.
