- Q: I have a power adapter that goes to a mixer (Denon DN-MC6000) and reads: INPUT 100-240V ~ 50/60Hz 1.5A, OUTPUT: 12V - 3A. Now I know this is the right adapter but I don't know if I have the right cable that goes from the adapter to the wall. I have one that says 6A 250V~ but I dunno if its the right one. I have a few others but can someone tell me what will be the right one so I don't blow up my mixer :P thanks
- This type of power cable can be plugged into any household power between 100 and 240 volts. So, any plug that fits into the wall plug is the right one. In the US and Canada the voltage is 110-120 volts. In the rest of the world 240 volts are used The plug and wire you mention is for the rest of the world. Now look at the adapter where you plug the cable into. Do they fit together? If yes go for it. If not keep looking.
- Q: can we use welding cable to hook up amp in our car?rated 200amp
- Yes many people use welding cable as long as its sufficient size, its usually the exact same thing as car audio power wire. 200 amps for how long? The longer the run of wire, the thicker you need. What gauge is it?
- Q: is it possible to split the live wire feeding my car stereo into 3 feeds so one is my stereo , two is my satnav power cable and the 3rd is my reversing sensor display. will this overload the wires? any advice how i can do this would be most helpful. thanks
- I'm assuming you mean the wire providing the 12-volt power to your radio? And you want to connect other unit's it? It all depends on how much current is drawn by the additional units. Do they have fuses? What sizes are they? Backup cameras usually draw very little current and have really thin wires. Shouldn't be a problem. What type of navigation device? Does it use a DVD-ROM or is it just on a chip, like a portable Tom Tom, Garvin, etc.? If neither of the units' fuses exceed 5 amps, I'd say you're safe (in most cars) running it from the radio's power wire. However, you didn't state the type of car. Late-model GM cars or Audi/Volkswagen have low-current radio wires that use computers. They are known as data bus or can bus systems. I'd avoid connecting to these.
- Q: Hey guys,I am going to build a PC around gaming soon, and i was wondering, how many sata and power cables am i going to need for the build, i can't seem to find it anywhere. By that i mean, will i have to buy any extras? I do not know how many come with the mobo and/or PSU.
- You only really need one SATA cable, for your HDD/SSD. Even then there are some hard drives that don't take it. Usually, a hard drive comes with the cable/strip included in the box.
- Q: Printer is powered on cables are securely connected printer has ink and paper printer is installed as network printer on all clients computers and other users are able to print to the printer except me? what should i do so i can print
- This sort of problem can happen with networks. Assuming the network has been set up correctly you can try a few things. It might be the sequence of switching things on and logging on. Try logging onto your computer AFTER printer is switched on. Also you can try not logging onto the network - I have had that work as well. I had 2 computers on a network that were always temperamental. Also check there are not too many users on the network, the printer can count as one user.
- Q: Hi. I recently purchased an EVGA Geforce GTX 670 FTW video card that need two 6 pins pci-e power cables. The problem is that the 2 in my pc have L shaped dongles in which one can't connect to the video card due to how it's designed. Is there any way to extend the dongle for reach? Are there any adapters that I can add to it? All knowledge sharing and suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
- The specs say PCI express? established laptop is required with one X16 lane photographs slot to be had on the motherboard. So yes, also ensure that your vigor supply is at least four hundred watt, which it should be assuming it's not a relatively ancient machine.
- Q: When i want to connect two SATA hard drives do I need some power cable on slave or just to connect it with sata cable and that'it? Because I did it like that and it's not recognized. And I don't have second SATA power supply cable in my computer.
- Don't have to worry about master/slave with SATA, however, if you also have EIDE hard drives in your system, you may have to set your BIOS to enhanced or some other cooperative mode to use them all at the same time.
- Q: I know they can control networks but what about cable, what is keeping cable channels from just showing hardcore pornography 24/7even showtime has a no bottom/no thrust/no rod rule.I don't have HBO so I don't know what they use, but still do we really need the FCC to censor its obvious that tv channels aren't desperate to put porn on the air so why do we need the FCC (other the the frequency adjustments for radio and what not)
- The FCC controls what is broadcast over the air waves. Cable TV is by subscription only, so if you don't like the programming you don't subscribe. Broadcast TV requires no subscription and is freely available to anyone who turns on a TV set. If the FCC were not there to control broadcast TV you would soon see porn popping up everywhere, since it is about the only thing that sells.
- Q: Hey guys I have a compaq sr5550f desktop the power light under the cable is flicking green but the computer will not turn on or off yesterday it was fine but unable to connect to the monitor I have saying no signal? whats up with it it was fine two days ago I unplugged all cables and let it rest and still the same result even if i unplug all the cables it still flickers green the dies off then if i plug it back it does it again help?
- Does the fan spin (at the back, near where you plug in the power cable) at all? If not, you probably have a failed power supply that needs replacing.
- Q: I'm building a new computer and i have a SATA 6.0 HDD picked out but the PSU says it has SATA power cables, i was just wondering if the power connectors were the same across the board from SATA 3.0 to the new SATA 6.0.
- sata power is all the same.
