- Q: holes to route the cable through anyone have pics or a website so i can figure it out
- ye this is just a common problem on many cars/tucks not just ford. did a custom install on my jeep and had to cut small hole in front left insulation under dash. it came right out into open space under hood and made great place to run wire. if u cant see any holes/spaces to run it then ur gonna have to cut a hole ro have someone do a pro install for you. (ultimately its cheaper easier to diy - need power drill and a big enuf bit to fit wire thru. im sure u can figure it out, just go slow and be carful, mine worked quik and easy and sounds great. good luck w/ all that - hope i helped
- Q: What kind of cable does the power cable 3 (1 * 240) +2 (1 * 120) Is it a separate cable?
- The size of the jumper varies with the specifications of the bridge, which is uncertain; the so-called repetitive ground is at least two that is the beginning and end of the end, if the length is enough, the need for intermediate isolation to do the appropriate length of the ground. Stressed that a certain attention to the ground is connected to the power grid on the ground, not directly into the ground.
- Q: I've lost the power cable (and other regular connection cables) for my Dell computer but have some from another computer (but don't know the make of them). This might be a stupid question but..can I use these for my Dell computer or do they need to be Dell cables?
- if it is just a power cord and the ends match then yes you can. if you have a power cable with a little black box attached to it then the answer is no. ask dell customer Support if you can't get it to work for the correct power adaptor/cable.
- Q: i want to use a 120 vac extention cord wire for the power cable to my amp, is this safe? extention cords have a heavier gage than the wire in radio shack and such and is much cheaper. i dont see why this would be a problem considering car batteries are only 12 volts vs. 120 volt extention cord raiting
- Well....that depends on how big the amp is. An extension cord has either 2 or three wires inside at somewhere between 16 and 12 gauge wire. You could twist all the conductors together and be good up to about 40 amps with three 12 gauge wires. The issue with amplifiers is current not voltage. The thicker the wire the more current it will handle. Most any wire you buy is rated at least 120V. Check what size fuse the amp requires, if it is more than 30 to 40 amps I would buy the right size single wire for the amp. Also, fuse the wire at the battery. Fire is not our friend. :)
- Q: everything was working great! and then i blew the main fuse! i replaced it everything was fine after that but then out of nowhere i only have power in half of the power cable connected to the amp!! What can i do??
- I okorder /... Under the column for 90 degree cable in copper pick the wire gauge that is closest to your amp requirements without being under. For example: 1200 watt amp = 100 amps of power 2 gauge copper can handle 130 amps (This chart is missing 3 gauge which some places do carry, which can handle 110 amps) 4 gauge is only good for 95 amps. These ratings are about heat build up from inductance of the current. When the heat exceeds the rating, the sheathing melts and conductor degrades at it's weakest point. I recommend use of THHN electrical wire. It is gas and oil resistant and has heavy strands that hold up well to the stress of vehicle install situations. If your wire and fuses are properly sized, then check all of your connections. Often times heat and vibration will loosen screws on amplifier contacts. Also, under the hood, heat can melt your fuse holder causing plastic to coat the contact points (in which case you'll need a small file to clean the contacts) There's really a lot of possibilities here and your question is quite vague and convoluted. Please give more details or take some time and analyse the problem carefully. Chances are that you will discover the source of the problem in a matter of just 15 minutes or so of checking.
- Q: Why is an aluminium and iron mixture used for power cables ?Please could I have a detailed answer, as detailed as you can make it.Thankyou x
- The cables have some few steel wires for strength, and many aluminum ones to carry the current. THey use aluminum instead of copper because it is a lot cheaper and much lighter.
- Q: What is the difference between rubber insulation and paper insulated power cables?
- When the cable is laid on the multi-layer bracket, the cables are arranged from top to bottom, the first layer is the high voltage cable, followed by the low voltage power cable. The control cable is placed on the lower part of the power cable. At the bottom of the instrument cable, when the low voltage power cable With the instrument cable in the same layer of laying, should be added partition isolation. Computer communication coaxial cable, full length are required to shield the use of closed trunking.
- Q: How to choose the type of street lamp cable specifications, anxious
- Depends on your number is not arranged in order, the general building room when the patch panel and the user board number is one to one correspondence
- Q: how much will a xbox360 power cable go for, and the tv wire to connect the xbox and tv.seprate prices please?
- around $50
- Q: I'm getting some upgrades for my pc and that includes a new power supply with the necessary amperage and 2 6-pin pci-e connectors to power my card. The card is already here but the psu probably won't get here until next week. I want to know if there is any way to run the card from the power coming from the pci-e slot. The card requires 2x 6-pin connectors, but i want to install it now to get that out of the way...
- No, it will simply not work as the additional power supply is needed even for normal operation (not just gaming). This is designed to avoid overloading the motherboard's power circuits.
