- Q:I am trying to modify my my xbox 360(put it into a pc tower that I have) but the DVD power and sata cables won't even come close to reaching. As well as the cables needed to move the rest of my peripherals. Please point me in the right direction or to a website that has these cables for sale. I need 10 inchers if possible. - If too much power is surged through your graphics card, then yes, you can burn it. It happened to mine, but fortunately for me, it was old, and it was some cheapo gpu.

- Cable is cable, the only thing that matters is where it is connected to and where it is going. You do not want to hook ground where the power wire goes. The color codes is only convenience.
- Q:I installed a new Power supply after my old one stopped working. I bought a Thermaltake TR2 500W. I connected everything that needed to be connected but it would not turn on. Then i disconnected the 4pin cable that goes to the motherboard, and it turned on. But my monitor didn't detect anything so it just went into quot;sleep modequot;. - You might have a DOA power supply or motherboard. It might just have problems with the connections. Sounds like the problem is the motherboard if 2 power supplies dont work on it. I would consider getting a new motherboard.
- Q:I have a Raidmax 730w power supply, and its modular. there is only one plug in for a 6 pin, and the cable has 2 different 6 pins on the same cable. Will this cable be able to run 2 different video cards running XFire? or will is also be able to run say a 6870 that requires 2 6 pin connectors?
- You should be able to feed two cards that each require 1 6/8 pin PCI-E power source... or 1 card that requires 2 6/8 pin PCI-E power source. A cable with 6 pin provides 75W power to the card. With the 75W available on the PCI-E x16 slot, that would be a 150W supply. 2 6 pins will up the available wattage to 225W. Cards that require a 6 pin and 8 pin are 300W cards. Your cable/PSU port is designed to provide any of those combinations of power to the videos card(s).

- This is standard on laptops. The display takes a lot of power so it is set to dim when there is no mains power. You can go to Control Panel, Power Options and change this. You will need to tell it that this isn't a laptop.

- Q:what size of main power cable to use for two amps with combined power of 600 watts rms.the length of the run will be about 12 feet from battery to amplifiers.
- you can do this 2 ways have a 1/0 gauge wire running from your battery to a distrubtuin block that can branch off into 2 more wires, 4 gauge or 6/8.. and have each wire running to an amp or the same exact thing, except with a 4g wire from the battery to a splitter dist. block running into 2 8g wires.. but i would go with the first way.. will allow better power flow and not have to pull as much from the electrical system... and make sure the in-line fuse is the same rating of all amp fuses together.. so say each amp is a 30a fuse in each make sure the in-line fuse is at least 60amps
