Q: Does anyone have a rug cleaner recipe that contains ammonia, dish soap and water. And is depensed from a foaming container.: Is this a rug you can take outside.? if so, use the dishwashing liquid( just a little) and scrub it then rinse well, hang to dry..Mine come out beautifully.

Q: I just purchased an 8x11 handmade wool rug online. I am not sure if I need a rug pad under it to keep it from slipping or whatever. I've seen a few rubber ones that cost around $80 and some thicker plush ones going for over $100. Is it really worth it?: I would not bother buying a pad specifically designed for an area rug. Instead get some rubber kichen drawer liners, or a roll of tool box non slip liner. It will work just fine. Hint, tape the liners to the bottom of your rug.

Q: After two weeks I am filling up my bagless vacuum cleaner compartment with carpet fibers. It's not the loop that is coming out it's fiber. When you replace it, ask for Nylon carpeting. Nylon is the best in the business next to Wool. Also, do not ever administer any so called carpet freshening powders to your carpet, as they are a rip off. Do not use any toy (Bissel or Hoover) carpet cleaners on your new carpet, as they are famous for leaving sticky soap residue in the carpet fibers that will attract dirt/soil like a magnet. This soap residue may also be responsible for allowing the carpet fibers to pack down.

Q: I was just wondering if CLR can remove carpet stains. If so, how would you use it? what are the steps?: Read the insrtuctions on the bottle. I don't think it is advisable to use on carpet. Dawn dishwashing soap and water can remove some stains. Mix lightly and dab.
