- Q: I am looking into buying this chair because I think it is beautiful! I plan on reupholstering it in some colorful fabric. She says there are no markings except for a sticker that claims it was reupolstered in 1987 or 1977 hard to read. There are 2 wheels on the front 2 legs. Other than that I do not know much about it. Any opinions or knowledge would be much appreciated, Thanks! The pictures are attached bellow.
- I am thinking pre 1950s. Are those the origenal rollers if so a look at the rubber in them will tell more. Mabey 1920s.
- Q: Where can I find a chair like this?(link below) What kind is it, like what is it called?
- Big okorder I think? Hope this is not a scam because the address and phone number is quite simple..
- Q: I just recently had my floors changed from carpet to parquet (that wood-looking surface). It looks great but I don't want the chairs for my dining table to scratch it up. What can I put on the legs of the chair to keep it from making that scratchy noise and messing up the parquet (something that looks GOOD [no tennis balls please])
- Several options from a full rubber tip to small felt pads on the bottom of the chair and table legs. Rubber boots are the best but they look gaudy.Felt pads come with a self stick side and you can get the in many sizes, so measure the leg bottoms before you go shopping . They are inexpensive so buy a few extra to have on hand. There are nylon tips you can apply buy these tend to scratch the floor. An area rug to fit under the table and 18 to 24 minimum bigger all around the table to allow chairs to go in and out, along with the proper anti slip mat under the rug. These mats also allow the wood to breathe if you do an area rug. Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar . GL
- Q: Can you rent wheel chairs in disneyland and how much are they???
- I believe they are free for anyone who needs them.
- Q: i just got a chair and its at perfect height when its all the way down.. but when i get off the seat.. the chair shoots back up.. when i sit back down, it sinks all the way down.. please tell me a way the seat can just stay down without going back up when im not on it..?
- I don't know what make and model your chair is, and thus what features it has, BUT... most of these chairs has a pneumatic cylinder in the support column, and for adjusting seat height, a LEVER beneath the seat, usually near the right front corner as you sit in the chair. To use this type of adjustment, you press the handle upward against the bottom of the seat, and THEN sit on it, forcing the seat down. When the seat is down, or at the desired elevation, release the handle, and the seat should stay there. If you want the seat at a higher level, remove ALL load from the seat, press the release handle, and a spring should lift the seat. Then when you have the desired height, release the handle and the seat should stay at that level. IF the seat is raising all by itself when you're not sitting on it, I suspect that the adjusting VALVE is not seating properly, and allows air back into the cylinder, and the spring raises the seat [sort of like magic!!!!]. Turn the chair over and check the valve [if it's not concealed] and look for lint or debris which is keeping the valve from fully seating and sealing the vent hole. IF the chair is new, I recommend returning it to the place you bought it and REQUEST REPLACEMENT on the basis that the chair is DEFECTIVE. If it's not new, then it's a matter of either cleaning the valve, or if it's not blocked, then repairing it so it can seat [and seal] properly.
- Q: The kind of chairs where they're a bit like a bean bag chair, but filled with scrunchy foam inside rather than beans, and the more you scrunch the foam inside the bigger the chair gets. Anyone know what I mean? I want one but I can't find one cuz I can't for the life of me remember what the heck they're called. :p
- Hi, okorder /
- Q: I have a computer chair that has been re-covered with normal fabric similar to curtain fabric. Over time stains have appeared on the chair and they have got really dark now and wont come off, the material is a pale biscuit colour so the stains really stand out now. What is the quickest and easiest way of getting rid of them. Thanks to anyone who answers
- You can get it steamed cleaned by carpets cleaners.
- Q: I've had one for a couple of weeks now and use it for a couple of hours a day. I've always sat with my lower back causing me to hunch over. Will i notice a difference to my posture when i sit in normal chairs over the next few weeks/months?
- I gave up on my kneeling chair last year. I tried the ball chair also, and it was about the same. I finally bought a standard desk chair which was designed to support the lower back. I trained myself to sit with my back snugly against the back support and my feet strait down at a 90 degree angle. Then I limited my desk work time to 30 minute intervals, taking a 5 minute break between, in which I would walk around. My back problems have been mostly eliminated. My opinion, for what it's worth is that the Ball Chair and the Kneeling Chair are not the answer to solving low back pain.
- Q: We've bought and used plastic high chairs before, but they just don't have the same look as a wooden high chair.I'm open to recommendations on the best wooden baby high chairs around, preferably one that will suit an all wooden kitchen (as that's where it will be kept). Thanks in advance!
- It's adjustable, which is a rarity amongst wood baby high chairs. 2. It has a padded seat and back rest to keep the child comfortable. The harness is also easy on the child, whilst keeping them perfectly safe. 3. It has a removable, dish-washer safe tray that makes cleaning up really easy. I have no hesitation in recommending the product to you as an excellent wooden high chair and an absolute bargain.
- Q: Will vibrating or kneading chair massagers make your skin loose? I use one everyday on my back.
- No. Not at all. Whether or not your skin is tight or loose is mainly down to your genes and age. Young skin has much more elasticity than older skin. Well-hydated skin also has more fullness and elasticity than older or drier skin. A massage chair is NOT going to make your skin loose at all! The best things you can do to maintain skin elasticity(so it isn't loose): -Sunscreen, every single day, winter or summer. -Don't smoke -Eat a healthy diet. A varied diet with lots of fruits and veggies is best. -Maintain a healthy weight. Dramatic weight loss (like more than a third of your body weight) can result in loose skin because it was so badly stretched if very significantly overweight. Younger skin tends to be more likely to bounce back, so if you're carrying extra weight, it's better to lose it younger than after you've carried it for ten or twenty or thirty years. It's always healthier to lose it, but effects on your skin can vary based on age and how long you've carried a lot of extra weight. -Stay well-hydrated. If your pee is pale yellow to clear, you're well-hydrated. Yes, you'll be running to the restroom frequently. -Exercise! You don't have to go nuts with this. A solid half hour of walking at a brisk pace is enough. But exercise increases your network of capillaries and hydrates and plumps the skin. Also nourishes it. So try to get 30 minutes a day of decent aerobic exercise--brisk enough that you can still talk, but in short sentences. But no, a massage chair isn't going to make your skin loose. Not possible.
