Q: I was curious if anybody knew of an office type chair that can be lowered down abnormally far so that you're very close to the ground.
Most office chairs are designed so the height can be adjusted up or down to keep the ride height at a comfortable and ergonomic level. According to HON, who is an industry leader in office chairs, most of their models are available in one of 3 height ranges: ?Standard-16 to 21 inches ?High-19 to 23 inches ?Low-14? to 19 inches It sounds as though, your best bet would be one that falls into the low category. Keep in mind, these numbers are a guide that HON uses and not an industry standard. Hope it helps.
Q: My friend and I have been informed by our lecturer that we need to make something out of concrete and we decided to make a chair. However we are unsure of how to attach the legs to the seat of the chair and the seat to the back. We were also informed of a special paint/substance that can be applied to a mold so that when the concrete has set it can easily be removed from the mold but our lecturer did not know the correct name for it so we are unsure of where to look. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
get hold of an old chair mix up some sand and cement a bit on the wet side paint it on to chair and don't tell the tutor
Q: I want to choreograph a dance with a chair or park bench in it.... but i need a song
Sounds okorder /
Q: I work from home as a web and graphic designer, and am in my office chair about 11 hours a day.I'm going to buy a new chair and am looking for something very modern / sleek / and as comfortable as possible.I'm considering either the Humanscale's Freedom chair or Herman Miller's Aeron Chair. Can someone make a recommendation as to which one of these two are best and why?
Why Herman Miller? I have found the chairs from Global are comfortable and they test the chairs well. I have had a couple of them over the years. The ones that were bought for me and came from other places are not as comfortable. One of the chairs was so complicated that it came with a driver disk!
Q: I have terrible posture and im tall so i hunch over in my chair on my desk....i have been getting horrible low back pain in my spine so i was wondering if anyone has used the ball to sit on and if it has helped them any
Hi okorder ... Chair Info/a also has good information as well. Hope that helps.
Q: I have some chairs that have cushions down half the back and on the seat. I want to recushion the top and make it wider and the cushion go all the way down to the seat. (Turn them into Parsons chairs) What would be the easiest way to do this?
I would use foam, wledbond, plywood, string, buttons and fabric. First measure the base of your chair at the seat and figure out the hieght you would like the parsons chairs to be. If you chair is 18 wide at the base, and you want them to be 24 high, then you would need your plywood to be 14 x 21 high {approx.}. You can get this cut for a fee {usually} at any lumber or home improvement store. Take the lumber and attach it to the chair with weldbond and clamps {and l have no idea of your chairs but weldbond works on metal and wood} or anything that will hold it tight while it hardens. Let this be glued firmly and completely dry...for extra security you can tie with rope {it will be covered with the foam} . Get some 2 {or more} thick foam and cut it so you have one long strip that is 50 long by 28 wide. Now on the inside seat part of the back of the chair, take a staple gun {or if you have little hands like me, use a nail and hammer} and attach string every four inches or so in a grid layout} Now take the foam and make holes with a knife or sizzors to line up with string. Take your weld-bond and spread it evenly over the plywood {be generous} front and back. Take the foam and lay it beginning on the inside bottom edge, pulling through the string as you apply it to the glued surface, bring it over the top, and then down the back of the chair, you will have excess on the sides and final bottom edge, but this can be trimmed later. leave to dry on the floor lightly tie and hold in place with string. Take fabric and cut to the same size, drape it in the same manner, making holes and pulling through string Attach with upholstorers nails. Tke the string and attach big beautiful funky buttons. They will look fabulous!!!
Q: i bought this product, and it works great only problem my chair legs are narrow and they dont fit well. anybody have this problem?
Hi okorder . They are super nice and will most likely will accommodate you by sending you Lowboz that have a slightly smaller opening at the top.
Q: they support us to the extent of our desires every day, hold us up when were down, only break if we are super pissed at someone across the hypothetical table, etc would you please pay homage to your chairs right here on answers
sure why not i love you chair thanks for holding my giant ***
Q: So I have this table, right. And on this table there is nothing. Just air moving above it. Nothing, no paper, nothing. You can see straight through to the backgrounds, you can move your hand there, and feel nothing.Prove there is a chair on that table.
You just said that there is nothing on the table. By the scenario you describe there is no chair. By the way, there is no such thing as proving anything if you can't find someone to agree with you. Saying something is something doesn't prove anything. Validation is in a consensus. If a thousand people say they saw something that you yourself didn't see, to you this would be a lie. Proof is subjective. Proof is what you yourself interpret and choose to believe, or what you convince others that it is.
Q: I am debating on whether or not to get one. I am leaning towards yes though. For petite or short people would you say the ottoman is a must in order to rock the chair? If you did NOT get a glider, what type of chair did you use to while nursing the baby?THANKS!!
I have a glider but I don't use it. My daughter never liked to be rocked and I find it kind of squished. When I have my next child I would rather have an overstuffed arm chair for reading books on or cuddling together. Some even rock. That being said some people love the glider...I just don't.
